This is an insanely good potion, and the recipe for it should not be sold cheap. This is on a very short cooldown (3 seconds), and clearing up to 4 poisons per gulp (4 stacks), it can be lifesaving on battles like Huhuran, where the poison just keeps stacking up.

This removes a large part of the cleansing needed, and enables the healers to focus more on healing instead of cleansing, aswell as making sure that people get cleansed faster. Both of these factors makes it alot easier to kill such bosses.

The reason why this is considered a 'white' or Common item, is because during the Alpha or Beta (I forget which ;<), there were vendors who used to sell this item, among others.

Considering the low cost (Although slightly hard to find) of the mats required to make, this little potion is a gem.

This item took a big nerf as of patch 2.2. It now has a 2 minute cooldown.

EDIT: The item shares a cooldown with other potions, and so operates off that cooldown.

If you can get your hands on this alchemy potion while leveling alchemy this is an ideal potion to skill. Large Venom Sacs usually can be found en masse for an extremely cheap price on an auction house in my experience from people just looking to make a bit more then the vendor cost. Even asking in trade might result some free ones being sent to you. The use of Bruiseweed makes this a cost effective recipe. You usually can sell these to people who may be questing, or use them yourself.

The cooldown isn't as great as it once was; but it still does a pretty nice job for WSG flag runners, or people who have to grind spiders or scorpids for a while (like Shimmering Flats) and they don't want to wait a few minutes to take off the poison. This potion recipe is a world drop item.

Potion of Curing used to be Elixir of Poison Resistance. i believe the elixir raised your resistance to poison effects for an hour like the name says. now it just cures you of 4.

Potion of Curing did indeed used to be the Poison Resistance potion. The original potion made you immune to poisons for 1 minute and removed any existing poisons. This was obviously a bit overpowering, and so they changed it to this potion, and apparently decided to rename it.

This actually dropped for me on my draenei alt on Bloodmyst Isle off one of the satyr in Axxarien. I too had never seen it, and I have an alchemist that's level 342. I'd like to send it to her for the sake of having every recipe known to man (perfectionist here!), but at the same time, I know it would fetch a pretty penny in the auction house...recipes like this don't just drop every day!

You're much better off getting a restorative potion, which will remove magic, curses, poisons and disease for 30 seconds. It requires level 32 so this may be adequate until you're that level but after that this potion just isn't potent enough any longer.

Im a lvl 60 priest and for PVP this is insane.
This clears up Viper Sting that mana draining sting from hunters too. Big thing with this potion: It has a 3 second cooldown. 3 Seconds and it isn't attatched to the Healing and Mana pot timers. The restorative potion listed in another post here is hooked to the other potions timers.

I just bought for 8s of AH in the realm Khaz`Goroth. Whoever can it can not be bought should die lol. I got it and I can now make them. Anymore i find I will sell. GG 8s

you can but it at the crossroads from the vendor of poisons and herbs and reagents im pretty sure. He will randomly have it

I'd like to buy the "Recipe: Elixir of Poison Resistance" but am not sure where or if it can be bought. Anyone know or is best chance to get as a drop off the Darkshore Strider Clutch Mother?
