These are nice shoulders for a healing paladin, or perhaps even a tanking paladin.

Now, compared to Crystalforge Pauldons (dropped from Void Reaver), these shoulders give:

-41 Armor (Like it matters)
-13 Stamina
+2 Intellect
-2 Gem Sockets + Bonus
+5 Spell Critical Strike Rating
-13 Spell Healing
-4 Spell Damage
+11 Mana Per 5 Seconds

Although these might be a downgrade, I would take them over Crystalforge Pauldrons just because of the 11 mana per 5 seconds, which seems to be lacking on some gear.

Not bad loot, for a somewhat easy raid.

I picked these up for my paladin a couple of nights ago and while they are quite nice..

..I might just keep them stowed away in a deep, dark cellar simply because of the massive amount of stupid they emit with their looks.

Trying to decide which to use, Spaulders of the Advocate or Dawnsteel Shoulders for a Holy pally. Which would you use if you already have made the dawnsteel and won the spaulders of the advocate in ZA.

Use Spaulders of the Advocate if you are having mana problems. The extra MP5 and crit should keep you casting for longer. If you are not having mana problems, go with the dawnsteel shoulders, especially for fights where movement may be an issue and stacking haste will get your cast times down.

I'm a prot paladin who picked these up by default, and while they're great for my healing set (prot pallys need as much mana/5 as we can get since we don't get mana back from crit heals) they definitely look like Tim Burton birthday cakes stacked on my shoulders.

I just got these a few days ago. They're great for mana regeneration. That combination of spell crit and mp5 is really good. I'd hope there would be many more items like this.

They're actually really well balanced healing shoulders in terms of stats, and I just got them tonight. :)
