These things stacks, can be used everywhere (except arena) and are on another cooldown than normal potions. A great tool, in the same way Whipper Root Tubers were in WoW Vanilla.

Anyone know what the special use of this is when it's used on possessed demons?

When you reach honored with Ogri'la a new quest opens up where you are asked to slay 15 demons, at the north or south forge camp (from Ogri'la). Upon completion you are given a darkrune, which you then turn in to another ogre in Ogri'la. This ogre exchanges your darkrune for another item, which you use to possess a specific demon at the northern forge camp.

When you possess the demon it begins an event where wave after wave of lesser demons begin attacking you while you must destroy the demon transporters shields. When the shields are destroyed another demon comes out that you must fight and, I believe, possess once he is defeated, however I did not defeat the demon so I am not entirely sure.

What does the charged crystal focus have to do with all this you ask? Well your possessed demon only has 1 ability to heal and this ability requires a reagent, which is, you guessed it, a charged crystal focus.

it is possible to get this on low levels with a summon and dying then ressing to loot the items to put them together and make this... we tried on a level 5 during the ptr

You can get this Item on a lvl 19 Twink (ask a friendly Warlock to summon you to Ogri'la), but since it's rather annoying to farm and the Depleted Crystal Force isn't that common it's probably best to not use it in pugs. Still very good to have while doing Premades.

edit: Just follow a high lvl friend while you're a ghost and every few mobs res to loot and hope for the Shards.

which possessed demons is this thing referring to?

as in a warlock enslaves something, then uses this crystal on it? or what?

I've done this fight three times now and have the first phase pretty well figured out, but I haven't gotten the crystals to heal my demon at all. I went into a fight with 3 once and used them all -- never once getting healed. I've used them with demons all around me and used them when focusing on just one with no luck at all.

The Crystal Focus is on a separate timer than a health potion, but the same timer as a healthstone. If you don't have a warlock, it's the poor man's HS (granted, a costly one; on my server, a depleted focus costs 4-6g each)!

However, bear tanks can use this and a potion in a macro and be out of bear for a split second. Pretty neat trick to restore 4k health instantly.

There is a Demon to the at the entrance of the North Demon camp called a "Degrader". Even though he is red, he does not aggro. I wonder if him or what he patrols, a cell with a winged demon in it, have anything to do with this. I currently have 10 Charged crystals and have yet to find thier purpose.

This is like Root Tuber v2.0
it stacks, it doesn't disappear 15min after your offline, it shares the healthstone cd(2min) but not the PotionsCD
If you don't have a Warlock in your raid or used all your stones in a bossfight, this will do good.

It is just a little bit harder to farm than a Root Tuber :P

Apparantly used in a quest to make demons that are possesed exhibit special abilities. Could be another quest where you controla mob to attack something

When you are honored with Ogri'la, you get a quest for banishing demons. Afterwards you can control one of the demons near the portals. That's what this item is thought for.

umm can anyone tell me why, when i click the health absorber thingy when im the felguard it dont heal me... i just done it... used 6 crystal thingys and not one of them healed me..completely wasted, someone tell me why!

jesus wept.. people read the previous comments...

The Charged Crystal Focus is used to heal the player, it cannot heal the demon in the daily quest when possesd.

The Charged crystal focus is used to power the demon's abilities, a bit like soul shards used by warlocks on certain moves.

The demon you take control of has abilities, and the more powerful ones (and more effective) consumes the charged crystal foci.

If you click to use while possessing a demon, it will attempt to heal your character, not the demon, so be careful cos you can run out instantly.

Acually the felguard has an ability which says it heals him, but doesnt seem to work. I have used about 8 charged crystal foci trying to get it to work, but it has only worked once, where the fel guard recieved 100% health back.

the first demon u control in the event special ability is currently bugged so u wont get healed and u will loose that charged crystal so dont use the special on first demon second and third demon r fine to use

yes once u charge it its becomes soulbound but the depleted ones can be traded

Yeah i tried to use it when doing the possessed demon quest with the darkrune and it says cant use while stunned

Has anyone noticed that it does not have a lvl requirement?
get a twink to BEM and farm some shards, then give him the depleted focuses and he has 2000k pots.
