Just a warning to people getting this for their twinks, I myself tried to apply these to Chausses of Westfall for my Paladin Twink, Unfortunatley to my dismay it did -NOT- work.

When my brother (70 Druid) tried to apply these to legs through the 'non-trade' window it gave an error saying "You can only apply this to an item you own" or something to that effect.

It does however work on BoE leggings of any level, just not BoP leggings.

it seems after recent patch (2.1), silver spellthread can no longer be applied on low lvl boe items, for example:

Lol now when this has got +16 Spell damage aswell as 46 healing this is almst better than the mystic spellthread imo. You trade 9 spell dmge for 31 healing, it's almost worth it for a Elemental shaman, moonkin druid or shockadin...

I found this to be a great way to make money as a tailor, but it really depends on your realm's economy. To make it, it only requires 5 primal lives and thread from a vendor, scan your AH for low prices for primal lives, and if someone just put 15 on the AH for 12g each, or a low price like that, buy them, make 3 threads, and 1 on the AH and try to sell the other on the trade channel.

This seems really simple, but it works so well with these because of the simple mats.

It can be used on items over lvl 35, however the person PLACING the enchant on the item must be OVER lvl 60. This means a person lvl 60+ can put the enchant on an item that is lvl 35 or higher for a person/character/alt whatever who is below level 60 and wants the enchant. I've done this with the leg armors I can make with leatherworking. The only catch is that the item MUST be in the possession of the person who is placing the enchant on the item-it cannot be soulbound. So that rules out BOP's and BOE's that have already been soulbound. Try buying an item from the AH, then giving it to the person to enchant, then trading it back. =D Works like a charm!

It can be placed on items lvl35+

But it cant be used thru trade, and the user has to be lvl60+

So for the sake of twinks you'd have to get a lvl60+ person to put it on the item then trade it to you or mail.

can this be used on BoE items and do they still be BoE or get soulbond? i thought not but need to ask though

It can be used on ANY level Item, I have placed them on lvl 5 White leggings to help my new caster character toons level, they just can't be applied through the trade window, they need to be applied by a Lvl 60 character or higher. They are perfect for a lvl 19+ twink if that is your desire. They can not be applied to an item that the twink already owns, you have to get a BOE set of legs.

I tried to attach these to some level 29 pants for my twink, it didnt work :-(

Tried it today on lvl29gear.. did not work :(
patch notes doesnt say anything about it

Afterwards i tried 25spelldmg one. that one worked.. WTF?

This no longer works on item lower than lvl 35. =(

BUT, Clefthide/Nethercleft leg armor still WORKS. Maybe I should try spell dmg too :)

according to a poster on the cobrahide armor kit (go look at his post last one) He took some tuxedo pants and put the armor kit on it and it works at a loss of a few stats from using grey pants.

Someone should test it, since grey items dont bind to anything....talk about profit think about selling that on the AH :D

As of 9:20 p.m. on Friday, July 6, Silver Spellthread DOES attach to low-level pants! I just had a level 70 craft me the thread and attach it to my previously unworn Darkweave Breeches--those pants require level 17, mind you--and had NO problems whatsoever! :D

I gave my lvl 8 warrior Cleftide a week ago
to a pair of white mailpants. With help of my 70 ofc.

And the silverthread to my friends cloth leggings. Worked fine without any probs.

With the 2.3 patch that just came out. this also adds 16 spell damage. But i put this on my lvl 1 priest and it says i have the 46 healing and 16 spell damag, but when i heal myself or anyone else, i dont get the bonus. Even the 16 spell dmg doesnt seem to work, i attack for the same amount. >.<

if this item is like Clefthide Leg Armor you want have any problem to enchant it on low level! Just use a 60+ level player dont give him a NON soulbound pants and you are ok!
