not sure if anyone will see this but, its a common mistake about spells hunters use, the only ones are, scare beast, mend pet, and revive pet, everything else is considered physical.

30 min Cooldown? The use is nice but the cooldown makes it next to useless. Unusable in the Arena and there are more easily attainable pve solutions such as Limited Invulnerability pots or a BoP. If and when it gets buffed every hunter and shaman will already have a Stormherald or Bloodmoon.

I hate how blizzard ALWAYS make the top armor for hunters blacksmithing. Then they cheat us into taking LW because of (useless) Dragonscale Leatherworking.

Good thing now us LW hunters have Ebon Dragonscale set. Bad thing stupid Blacksmithing item is superior (nothing aganist blacksmiths, all aganist bad blizzard choice).

i don't see why Bliz sets this chest to be lvl146. simply look at the poor stats, way worse than T5 hunter chest. and the bubble is nearly useless because of its long CD. it's definitely not worth of your time and money to make this crap.

As an Enhancement Shaman, I'm thinking of switching from Axesmithing to Armorsmithing to make the Twisting Nether Chain Shirt, assuming I can find some weapons to replace my crafted axe. I'd never, ever upgrade it to this, however. Gaining 3 crit rating at the cost of 10 AP is actually a net DPS loss for me.

Yea, rather absurd, maybe if the CD was 3 min it'd be worth it, but no way otherwise.
I was considering dropping my mining to get the t2 version of this until I got the points for s2 gladiator chest, considering its roughly 4 weeks away for my teams and the other stuff i got in front of it, but then i saw that the CD on the use is 30 min, so i cant even use it in arena.

Completely useless.

OK, folks. I'm saying this as a hunter. This is NOT hunter gear, so don't even complain about the stats. This is Shaman gear, plain and simple. Sure, a hunter could use it but there is much better stuff out there that is hunter oriented.

Edit: And why is the only screenshot of a Gnome? What class could a Gnome be that would want to wear this at 70?

So, let me get this straight..for the cost of 45 gold and 2 nether vortexes, i get 5 int, 8 stamina 2 ! crit rating and LOSE 10 AP..um thanks alot blizz..

(Oh and of course my 3 gems get destroyed when i upgrade too)

The cooldown is 15 minutes, so this armor's ability can't be used in the arena.

Why exactly does this one have less AP than the item this is an upgrade from? Is it an error on blizzard's part or is it really supposed to be less?

Yea, the attack power on the Twisting Nether Chain Shirt is 58 while it's decreased to 48 on Embrace of the Twisting Nether. It gotta be a mistake Blizzard did when creating the items.

But, on Nether Chain Shirt (1st stage) the attack power is 40, bet Blizzard just occasionally switched the AP-stats on stage 2 and 3 and will fix it pretty soon. 40 --> 48 --> 58

Blacksmithing shammies do exist--my main is one. It's a good way to make money early on since your not gonna use any of the stuff you make.

I assume you haven't seen the craftable 1h weapons, or the various BoE/P plans for earthpeace breastplate, that 317 heal mace etc, or haven't thought that it might be useful to provide one's guild with stuff like armour... weapons... rods etc

I'm a hunter with 372 Blacksmithing. I decided to go Wep Smith seeing how there wasn't much mail items to make. Then I noticed this! -- What caught my attention was the 6 second bubble. The stats are nice, mostly for a shammy, but, If that bubble was able to work in ARENA? Then hell, I would switch to armorsmith and get that!

Any comment on that? I want to know if it works in Arena :D

I have Twisting Nether Chain Shirt on my shaman..
Facts:
1. Not working in arena
2. 30 Min CD
3. Makes u immune only on physical attacks
4. It can be dispelled

Bubble is not rly useful but still stats r rly good.. best chest till T5 u can use this chest in PvP and PvE and its still good

Look up Thunder and deep thunder and last Stormherold there you have good weapon for a shaman and put a enchant on it and it is verry good

This is great armor for PvE. It cancels out the garrote from Moroes and the Cave In from Magtheridon. Also good for when your questing and get jumped by a rogue, pop the armor's ability and waste him. It's definitely worth having for the Magtheridon fight, just one less person your healers have to heal during the hardest part of the fight. Yeah it has a 30 minutes CD, and can't be used in arena, I have found other valuable uses for it that have helped save myself. I use it on my hunter so I can't attack during the bubble phase, so I will usually bandage if needed. I think if your a Shaman you can cast while in the bubble, but I'm not sure. This armor is worth getting, in my opinion, especially when I can negate 6k damage during the Magtheridon fight.

I'd rather make a weapons instead of chest. This only gets you one slot, while with weaponsmith you can make a 1H weapon and a 2H weapon. Shammies aren't as gear reliant as paladins so most of the damage comes from weapon. If you compare T3 mace or axe, you will find it is definitely better than this chest simply because 97 dps slow weapons are rare to find as the Rising Tide seems to be the only viable offhand. By the time you get this, why not just settle for T5? Oh wait, unless you're just farming vortexes clearing trash heh.

This will be up at next patch, 84 ap instead of 58. Sure it was a mistake before but dev took a lot of time to see that :)

lol @ bealarizer, no enhancement shaman who is still sane would go for spelldmg/healing stats just to buff his shocks/heals...

shocks are roughly 5-6% of our overall dmg, even with the spelldmg/heal we get through ap since patch 2.3

equally good for both classes and bealarizer: shamans dont want ap, they want strenght, they dont want agility, they want crit, hit isn´t bad either but not so important, int and mp5 are totally insignificant.

and a enhancer in pve hardly use heals, just when some raid-buddys are in trouble we stop dps for a moment and throw some quick heals in

sad to see that the bubble has such a long cooldown and is dispellable... i would have expected more for going all the way to highlvl blacksmith, specialising on armors, farming all the expensive or hard to obtain mats ( primal-nether and nethervortexes ) and in the end you cant use it frequently... i am currently engineer/blacksmith ( enhancement-shaman ) and had thought it would be worth getting a 6 sek bubble additional to my 2 sek +300% dash and my 4k dmg absorb shield ^^ well i guess i go for hammersmith... the 1h version is cool for raiding and the 2hander is sweat in pvp ^^ it´s a *!@#$ to get all those vortexes though :)

In many ways, especially for Pvp, this should be considered better for an enhancement shaman or hunter than what the vengeful chest ever will be. It's shield gives the BM hunters a great chance to revive their pets, or the enhancement shamans to heal properly, and cleanse thoose annoying rogue poisons that stack. Then successfully use rocket boots xtreme and pewpew and boom and OP bangbanggooberblat.
