The "Greater Moonlight" you need to be standing in to use this is located on the platform where you launch the fireworks.

While the Festival Invitation can easily be used to teleport yourself from the circles of Greater Moonlight in Moonglade to any of your faction's capital cities, it will not allow you to teleport into the opposing faction's cities, it merely returns you to the port-in point in Moonglade.

So, while the Invitation remains a useful way for lower level characters to easily access their factions major flight points, it does not facilitate easy grabbing of the festival Elders (or access for raids) in the opposing capitals.

is it me or is there a duration on this?It says 24 hours

EDIT: It seems that the duration dissapears,i dont know why but i think its when you relog,anyway dont fear if you see the timer,nothin will happen :)

I was worried about the duration timer of 24 hours, but I noticed that the person who gives you the invitation has a "Please give me another invitation" option when you talk to them. So even if it does go away, you can get another one.

you get this from a npc near the "light".
this can be anywhere in darnassus, ironforge, orgrimmar, stormwind, undercity, thunderbluff.

he'll give you a quest to buy and shoot 10 different fireworks. then gives you this, so that low lvl players can get to the moonglade as well.

You must first get the quest from the Lunar Festival Harbinger in whichever major city you are in. (I know that the one in IF is located in the Mage Quarter and SW is located in The Park. Sorry don't know about Darnassus or any of the Horde locs.) Then, you must visit the Lunar Festival Vendor to buy the two types of fireworks. Color doesn't matter. Then, you must fire them by throwing the fireworks at the launcher which should be located near the harbinger. Be sure, to try to avoid firing your fireworks at the same time as another because you may not get credit. Also worth noting is that currently only the IF fireworks launchers appear to be working as of 9:00AM CST on 1/27/2006 for the Alliance. Sorry once again, I know nothing about the Horde side. Upon completion of firing your fireworks, speak with the Harbinger again to get your invitation. You use the invitation by standing in the moonlight beams near the harbinger.

When does this leave your inventory? It doesn't appear to be a consumable.

Where does this take you? Specifcally in Azeroth, don't say it takes you to the festival, I need to know where it's being held and where/if this will work after the event.

It takes you to moonglade, which is the northeastern tip of Kalimdor.

Using this invitation, you could warp from your starting city to Moonglade.

From there, wait on the ten-minute cooldown. Talk to the elf for almost 5000 xp, discover the lake and the town. Then, stand in a ring surrounded by members of your faction and use the invite again. You are ported to their city.

There is now an easier way for a low-level character to get the flight points in all three cities without the aid of a warlock. My gnome backpack is now sitting in Darnassus just for the fun of it.

Is it possible for Horde chars to teleport to Alliance cities, and vice-versa? I'm curious, but I'm afraid to try it, because body retrieval would be a @#$%^.

Darnassus also has a greater moonlight, located in the cenarion encave next to an Elder.

Valadar Starsong is at 53x35 at Moonglade and he accepts the quest.

Also he can change the for items (repeatable quest)

Is the quest to get all the tokens renewable? or can you only get 5 tokens max?

what do the rewards from cashing in the 5 tokens do? Im not sure which one to pick , the candle thing or the pants

Okay, weird question. I have the Invitation, but the harbinger, fireworks launchers, and the moonlight beam have all completely disappeared! Is this a glitch in the game? The invitation ahsn't even expired yet.

So i flew to Felwood and have been dying... wandering... dying... wandering... through Jaedennar looking for Nightwind and can't find him/her at all. This is not enemy territory for me (Nightelf Druid) it is disputed territory. Why can't I find the Elder here?
Seeing as I am only lvl 22 and alone, I am dying a LOT. Any help would be appreciated!

a really good guide for these elders locations is at www.wowwiki.com/Elders i just visited all of them and the horde city ones were fun to get to :)

The invitation, when used inside a Greater Moonlight in a city, teleports you to the Moonglade. After a 10 minute cooldown it can be used again, for instance from one of the Greater Moonlights in the Moonglade, to teleport you to a capital of your allies. So Horde can teleport to Thunder Bluff, Undercity and Orgrimmar, Alliance to Darnassus, Ironforge and Stormwind. There are no Elder or Greater Moonlights in Exodar or the Blood Elven capital. A nice way for low level characters to get the flight paths to other cities.

The invitation has a dureation of 24 H game time.

My Lunar invitation has mysteriously disappeared. Is there a time limit on how long you can keep it, or have I accidentally disposed of it? Can I keep my Ancestral Coins for next year's Lunar festival?

Acts as a teleport spell when used inside moonlight circles. From anywhere else, teleports to Moonglade. In Moonglade, can be used to teleport to any capital city by standing in the appropriate circle.

If you're invitation doesn't work, or you can't see the beam of light, close the game completely and come back. Not even /reloadui worked for me; I had to exit and enter again.

I created greater moonlight with one of those yellow orb thingies outside of a city, and while standing in it, the invitation does not recognise it is a valid greater moonlight location, even after restarting the game.

An annoying thing about this item is that if you're in Moonglade and have deleted the invitation or it has expired, you can't get a new one in Moonglade. You can only avail yourself of the free teleports back to your faction's capital cities if you kept the invitation you got there.

You cannot use an Elder's Moonstone in conjunction with this item in order to teleport to Moonglade.

If you have lost/deleted your scroll, you can talk to the Lunar Festival Harbringer in IF at the festival area (/say 28.93, 16.37). I assume the same for Stormwind but cant confirm for sure.
