This does -650 threat, so it's slightly worse than the Hypnotist's Watch (easily accessable quest reward at the start of TBC) and about equal to Fade r5, although it's a permanent reduction rather than Fade's temporary one.

This is -650 theat which is about 80% of a Rogue's Feint.

However whats interesting is as Feint is -Threat this is -Threat(All). Not sure what the diffence is, I'd be worth looking into.

It probably means that it reduces your threat on all enemies near you, rather than just your target.

Anyone know what the threat values listed on thottbot are relative to. Is it 1 point of damage is equal to 1 threat, so that the -650 threat granted by this item is the equivalent of wiping 650 damage?

Guess this is kind of ... average (from a lock's perspective). Say for an MC trash mob or a DM boss fight where you might do 10k dmg, this is 6.5% agro reduction which is better than the uber cloak enchant that's only 2%, but mcuh less than the MD imp @ 20% or salvation.

If you're going to do more than 10k dmg, the utility of this continues to drop.

This is fantastic! 5 minute cooldown's a little worse than I hoped for, but this is still one of the #1 items for me to get now that the quest's available to me.

I'm a 60 druid, and this is sort of like an AE-cower without the need to shift to cat to use against a single target. This is fantastic, because cower is the only other way druids can reduce their threat, and shifting is so expensive that you can't spend a lot of time shifting to cat to drop aggro if you draw it with your heals. And this happens when the tank doesn't pick up all the mobs, if you have to spam heal and nature's swiftness big heal in an emergency, or have a *lot* of heal over times ticking away and one of the mobs is relatively untapped.

02/25/06 - 60 druid - Trinket does not work for me - tested by duoing a mob with someone, then attacking just enough to pull hate - at which point I used the trinket, and saw "Your Grace of Earth failed. You are immune." in my combat log. Of course the mob continued to hit me as well.

Tested several times under a few different circumstances with the same result every time. Sucks after the many hours of hard work this was.

Is this item glitched like the felwood buff plants were?

If the cooldown was 1 or 2 minutes it would be worth the time to get this trinker. The 5 minute cooldown makes this worthless. It's not worth removing another trinket to use this one once every 5 minutes... Either make it equal to a vanish where all aggro is wiped, or reduce the cooldown.

I may just get this as I have way more badges than I need and by the time I Get exalted (going for earthstrike) I will certainly have enough at this rate. The only reason I'm even bothering is because it is easy to get, It is nice for fights like broodlord with an aggro ceiling, and It's like a weaker feint in a box which can never hurt when it comes to rogues. Although I do agree with the people who said that it needs to be upgraded, for honored and about 26 elite quests (15 Field duty, 4 tactical and 7 combat) and 4 logistics its not that good. But, since I have extra badges I'll get it, and if none of those applications are useful then I'll just de it =P.

I appreciate everyones opinions about the relative value of this trinket, but soemtimes opinions overload these blogs with garbage. Does anyone know if, 1) this trinket has been fixed? 2) How best to use it - (what does it do and when should it be used). Please don't respond to this post by telling us what you think. Please respond with factual information about the trinket itself. Thanks.

As a mage, who has 0 abilities that shed aggro, I want this thing soley for the Onyxia fight. I always manage to pull aggro in phase three, and I hate it. All the hunter's/rogues are a-ok, me? Chaining frostbolts gets me killed. I'm tired of running around bandaging people because I can't DPS anymore >.<

This trinket looks like it is ftw.

I can confirm that the trinket works as advertised now.

It is particularly useful when there are a lot of mobs and the main tank cannot get aggro on all of them before you have to heal, such as the waves of mobs that come during the second AQ20 boss event. Too bad the trinket has a 10 minute cooldown!

It is also useful when rooting bugs in AQ20. If the roots break, I hit the trinket and have time to re-root. Without the trinket, the bug killed me.

I have also used it to remove aggro from a direct attack, pulling elementals and lashers in Dire Maul with starfire, then hitting the trinket to allow the tank to pick up the aggro. It is very pleasing to see the mobs pause, then all turn away from me to the tank.

vw can pull aggro off me after i hit with 2 shadow bolts to start the fight, so nice for soloing. also good in MC, etc... as all other classes have an aggro reduction ability, but if a lock gets aggro what does he do?

Warlock AoE threat reduction. Period.
Warlock AoE has to be the worst in the game, sure it can do damage but the moment you are struck in combat channeling gets interrupted.
I normally pull aggro after 2-3 seconds of 258 damage each second so if this trinket can wipe those 3 seconds and allow me to get 3 more ticks off before pulling aggro I'm all for it.
Then again that is the only time I would use this trinket, when I was using hellfire.

I use this as a healer in the Razorgore phase 1 fight to allow me to go a little bit further in healing the kiters without pulling aggro. It's VERY useful for this fight, and this is one of the few fights where I might consider it a necessity.

got this for my holy 61 priest a few days ago. all quests can be done solo now - no elites at all. gaining rep with cenarion circle is very easy as you get +500 rep for handing in 10 encrypted twilight texts.

the trinket is awesome for priests - if fade doesnt save you from aggro use the trinket additionally and mobs turn away from you. its worth the efford to spend one to two days in good old silithus.

EDIT: you can get this additionally from a quest in HP: Hypnotist's Watch. the trinkets do not share cooldown!

I tend to have aggro issues on 'zerkers in zg and not so much but still on occasion on the giants in MC.

Equipping this for those two mobs may lower my survival rate.

I keep getting "Your Grace of Earth failed. You are immune." anyone know what would be causing this? I have full nemesis and I removed it and I am still getting it. Don't ask why I have it though =p

As a Balance druid I cause a lot of aggro. This trinket could be really useful.

Lowers treat by 650. For comparison, Feint is 800 and Cower is 600.

When I decided to spend some Cenarion Badges for this (I was already exalted and got my 1H weapon, but had some badges left) I first thought it would be a cool toy to hand out with, nothing more.

As a resto druid in a mainly PvE oriented guild, I wear my Grace of Earth in every "serious" raid (AQ40 and Nax), and it has become a life savior.

I haven't done the maths yet (plus, I lack courage for this) but the "AE feint" is really powerful. I have the druid talent reducing my healing agro, and I am not such a overhealer so when I happen to get agro , I am not far (on the agro list) from that sundering warrior next to me.

So even if I doubt this toy would be really useful for a uber-healing priest, it has become an essential tool for me, as it has NEVER failed. When I click my Grace of Earth, bam the mobs leave me alone.

The downside is the stupid 5 minutes cooldown, but hey, one life potentially spent every 5 mins isn't something to spit on, is it ?
