The chest is opened with a Gordok Shackle Key: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=18250

The key drops from the ogres in DM North and is BOP. Though it seems the gaurds drop the key more than regular ogres, I've gotten keys from all types of ogres.

The chest drops a number of BOP blue patterns, and several BOE epic patterns, and some valuable white/grey loot. This is the only epic tailoring pattern from the chest.

For tailors, the chest also can have the following BOP blue patterns:

I think its very sad when people ask for a free enchant or free tailored even though they have the mats. They don't take into condsideration the time that goes into that tradeskill and the cost of the recipes....

Pattern dropped in DM from the Goblin who makes ogre suits. I was the only tailor. Two mages in my group would like the belt made for materials. I gently asked for one mooncloth, as a tip, to make the belt, since someday I hope to get the pattern for Truefaith Vestments. The last trip I got the pattern for Mooncloth Gloves. Too bad I can't find a drop of a whole bunch of mooncloth!

It is BoP, at least if you get it from the DM chest.

And hell yeah I'd feckin' charge non-guildies for this. You think I couldn't make cash somewhere instead of grinding DM north countless times for a pattern with 0.9% droprate - that is provided we have enough shackle keys to always release the goblin?

10g is a rather small price for the effort involved. Although I wouldn't really grind pure gold (rather some other instance or get materials for something), time still equals money and constant DM runs aren't that profitable, maybe 5g a run... in terms of time = money, charging 10g would not make up for the effort involved till after having crafted it quite many times.

This recipe is NOT BoP :) found it two days ago on a tribut run in the chest behind the goblin in DM.

...and sold it for 850 Gold >.<

i got this on my first DM tribute run off the goblins chest, i had offers of up to 1500g on teh pattern but i decided to learn instead.

I can make it too. figured out that on Skullcrusher, it would cost between 328g and 400g to create it.

My priest's name is Epifany, on Malygos, alliance side. It is a drop in DM, from the chest the little goblin guy who is shackled leaves when you set him free. The recipe (and the actual belt) is BOE. My priest is at 300 enchanting and 300 tailoring, and won the pattern during a tribute run, and someone happened to have the Gordock shackle key to release him. I really don't think people should HAVE to do enchants or make patterns for people free just because they have the mats. I have spent countless hours farming for rep with the thorium brotherhood, the furbys, and a few other people. I wouldn't charge much more than 20g to make most of the higher end tailoring patterns I know, or for doing most enchants, but I have spent way too much time and money trying to learn how to do them, to do them free for everyone. So it really depends on what the person wants done, and how hard it was for me to learn. I may possibly charge someone who has mats 50g for the belt or the flarecore armor I can do since they are purple... People who are in my guild and I know aren't just there for a free ride into MC or whatnot, I will do for free, but not the whole server. If someone else wants to do it free, that is their choice, but you can't expect everyone to. Besides--I have had way too many problems with lowbies who found out I do enchanting, bugging me for free enchants every time they find a new weapon or armor, whether it's a level higher than what they already had on or not. Not only that, they don't WANT the lower enchants that are the equivalent to what level they are at. They want fiery, crusader, lifestealing, etc. etc. and when you tell them how much it costs for mats, they start grovelling.

This belt pattern doesn't drop in LBRS. The pattern for Robe of the Archmage drops in LBRS.

this pattern drops from knot thimblejacks cache in DM NORTH, this is the only place it will drop. If anyone on the Boulderfist server would like 1 just msg Helveticus

Was farming it solo as mc equipd mage . Droped today after 8 or so runs
Tactics :
1.buy potions of invisibility as many as u can u need ones with 18 sec invis
2.enter run through the wolfs group freezem and jump down
3. drink potion and go to the spider place to make 18 enouf blink at 1 second and ull be safe.
4. nuke right group pyromancer sheep melee kill caster kill melee
5. nuke futhest group pyromancer sheep caster kill caster
6. nuke left group pyromancer sheep melee kill casters kill melee
7. die reset instance
do so until it drops

I can make this item...I only charge 10g with your mats..Mariluna on Sen'jin Alliance As far as I know only 3 people can make this on the entire alliance side.

I do keep one made on hand to trade for the mats. Send an ingame message if you need them made.

Too many people have been accepting mats from people then keeping them rather than doing encants or making items.

Blizz will not help you if you get ripped off, so only trade using secure transactions from people like me that don't ask for anything up front.

Dropped from the Goblin chest for me too. Already made one for Velrin on Alleria Horde. 30 seconds after picking this up, I had 4 ppl /tell asking for a belt. Word gets around fast.

1350g starting bid seems a bit high to me.

This dropped for me some days ago, so any ppl at Balnazzar that needs them give me a whisp ingame. Also this Pattern: Hide of the Wild dropped the day after so selling it aswell if some1 wants the pattern.
