In order to obtain this ring, you will need to do the following: Enter the west side of Stratholme (often known as Live/Scarlet/Human Strat) and kill Malor the Zealous. In his room will be a chest which contains the Medallion of Faith. Loot this medallion and then head to the eastern side of Stratholme (usually refered to as Undead Strat). Take this medallion to the chapel in the room with the side entrance to Strat. Inside the chapel will be a humanoid by the name of Aurius. Give the medallion to him, and he will say something about being there when you need him. Now, continue through UD (undead) Strat all the way to Baron Rivendare. When you engage in battle with him, Aurius will come to help you kill him. When Baron is dead, Aurius will then collapse in the middle of the room. This does indeed appear to be from a quest. It has no level requirement, is blue, and is bind on pickup. I would love to know what quest this is from.

Getting this ring requires a full Stratholme run. Begin by doing Scarlet side, all the way up to Balnazzar. Pick up the necklace in the chest on the way; something like "Medallion of Faith".

Go through the city to the church right inside the service entrance. Turn in the medallion to the paladin inside the church.

Go through Strath dead side, all the way up to the Baron. Kill the baron, and the paladin will show up during the fight. Talk to him at the end, and receive your reward.

I already cashed in the Medallion of Faith at the beginning of Strath, but then when my group killed Baron I forgot to look for the paladin.
Will I still be able to do this quest on another run, or do I have to go and get another medallion :(

I was in a Raid group for Strat and I somehow managed to do this without the Medallion? I'm not even sure what quest it was, but after we finished off the Baron, I talked to the Paladin and got the ring. o_O

In living strath you pick up a medallion of something or other from a chest in a room with a named.

Back right at the beginning of dead strath outside the service entrance there's a ruined chapel, inside is aurius, give him the medallion and he says "When you face rivendare, I shall be there with you."

Go through the instance like normal, then when you engage rivendare, aurius /yell's "RIVENDARE! i HAVE COME FOR YOU!" and joins the fight with your team, he seems to be a paladin NPC as he uses excorsism on rivendare and heals himself.

after you defeat rivendare, aurius starts walking away and says "Argh!" and falls over, he tells you that rivendare has mortally wounded him and that he will die in peace there knowing he has helped defeat the great death knight, and you have a choice of this ring or a necklace with +sta and +atk power for rogues, hunters, and such classes who may need it.

I chose the necklace as an upgrade from my gemshard heart

i dindt do anything. did a normal strat run and got this after killing the baron... we where only on baron run:P

Works in raid. One person "activated" the quest (I did not know of it.) After the Baron fight there was a dead guy with an orange question mark above him and everyone could get the ring (there was another choice too). Thanks again. You made 9 people pretty happy.

you can't do the quest more than one time. so no dual-"blood of the martyr"

edit: the aforementioned paladin will still help you with the baron everytime you hand in the "medallion of faith"

I guess only one person in a raid needs to do the quest. I was on a Baron run with my warlock tonight and noticed some dead guy in the room after we killed Baron. Hmm, never saw HIM before... I clicky and wow! A schweet caster ring! It was very nice.

So, yeah, definitely raidable. And you don't even need to be ON the quest.

Ok heres wat happened, I got the medallian of faith from Live strath, the handed it up at the church, Then our group wiped too many times attempting to get to barron so the instance reset and everyone quit. How do i get the ring from here? if I kill barron later on, will the paladin appear or do I need another medallian, Respond plz..

ok i went to ud strath and turned in the medallion..when we were killing baron aurius came out and helped fight the baron..after we killed the baron he didnt show up..can anyone help me? y couldnt i talk to him?

Somehow I managed to get this off the paladin after killing the Baron today, and I can't for the life of me recall doing any of the pre-reqs or picking up/handing in a medallion.

Nonetheless, i have it equipped now, go figure... O_o

Just did a strath run, started at baron side then went west, into scarlet side, as far as Marketrow potbox to kill Hearthsinger Forresten.

Started baron run straight after, paladin appeared on the ground after we downed boss, had the usual yellow '!' to start a quest but was a completer.

Was quite pleased to get the ring, great stats. Would advise everyone trying this out for a great piece of Jewellery!

He also gives a nice +10stam, +30AP neck as the alternative, very useful for any pre-ZG war/rogue/dr00d

I was just wondering if it was possible to get 2 of this ring, seeing as it's not unique ;) I tried to see last strat run, but a noob warrior wiped us at The mobs before baron, so I couldn't check = /

You need to do a full Strat run to get it. Basically, do live strat, get the Medallion of Light (I believe this is what it was called). You then give this to a Paladin on your way into UD Strat, he's in the first Building you can get into you come do. He'll help you fight Rivendare, basically. After such, you leave him, get to Baron, and win the fight (Never tested this, but try NOT to wipe, or the Paladin may fall without finishing the questline(?)), the Paladin will tell you he's mortally wounded. He'll fall down, you talk to him, turn in the quest, and chose a PoS Necklace, or this leetskeet ring. Hmmm... A million bucks, or French Fries... Decisions, decisions.

Then again, the ring is next to useless for Warriors and Rogues... Meh.

I was in a Baron run. We cleared the undead craphope. Ganked rivendare. In the fight, some ghosts came and assisted us killing him..
After the fight,i saw this question mark dude, talked to him, and got a new ring ^^

WTF? Yes please.
