Paladins! Make sure you always have a stack with you!

Anyone else .. consider carrying a stack, too. I've been in many groups where the Paladin (or even Paladins) forgot the reagent, and thus couldn't prevent a wipe. Carrying these along and giving one to each forgetful Paladin has made a big difference!

to make that clear this saves a raid a trip back from the graveyard as you can DI a healer so when everybody dies you dont have to run back. it could save the raid if the person is low on health like a healer but 99% of the time this means that the raid already failed.

note: you dont take durability damage when you sacrifice yourself.

Why on earth do Horde vendors sell this item if it's only use is for a paladin spell?

To all those who say it's a waste of 20s, it is NOT!

Imagine a 20 men raid in some high level instance, someone's pull was unsucessful and your group has to fight a large number of elites. So the 15 first people die, you, a priest, and 3 other people are still alive, but are soon going to die. This is the moment where you have two options: Let your group die, or sacrifice yourself to save the healer. The only way to survive is sacrificing yourself, since shielding the healer will take all agro away from him, just as if he wasn't there. After the 3 other people die and the healer remains alive, he waits until all the mobs are gone, removes the shield (right click to remove buffs), and resurrects the whole party instead of having to start again and having to kill the mobs who have respawned. Now what's better, this or letting the whole group die? The answer is obvious.

It can also be a bit useful in PvP raids, but only in rare situations. Sure, removing all agro won't work against players, but 3 minutes is a lot. I don't think a lot of hordies would want to wait 3 minutes instead of going somewhere else to kill more allies.

In case the rogueladin farm.. er..
well anyway, very useful if the paladin have to spend some time in Thunderbluff, Undercity or Ogrimmar.
Oh wait. You have to get friendly with "Horde" faction first.
