The trinket causes all players in a 5 yard radius to do the /dance action, minus the "player begins to dance" text in chat. Has no practical use but can be fun to anger people at the IF mailbox with it :p

You can even make people dance in normally undance-able positions, such as sitting down, kneeling, mounted, swimming, etc. Purely a for-fun trinket, no practical use in combat or anything.

For anyone wondering, this boss can easily be taken by 2 rogues. He has 4 different spawn points on the live side of strat, but you access him by entering through the UD side. Only one of the spawn points is easily accessible. It's to the immediate left of the passageway from UD to Live. He has a ghostly figure and can be hard to see. If you can /tar him, then he's in the right place, if not, reset and try again.

I also ran this with a warrior, rogue, and priest combo, and that group can easily take the second spawn point to the immediate right of the same passageway.

Either way, there is still some trash to clear before you can take him. I'm still causally working on getting one for my friend and I. Drop rate hasn't been good for us. Hope this helps someone.

70 rogue with MOD and two stealth bonuses (darkmantle boots and stealth to cloak) -- I can stealth to each location he spawns at with a little bit of timing and liberal distracts.

Easily soloable at 70, though you have little room to move around him.

I solo'd this as a 60 hunter. Open the gate, run in and Feign Death.

Check to see his spawn. If it wasn't on the right hand side, then I'd leave and reset.

You can pull him by himself.

Also did this on my 60 mage. Took me a few tries to blink a the right moment after opening the gate.

Was this item removed? I play a 68 rogue and i decided I wanted it, I have killed hearthsinger 26 times today, and not once did it drop. I'm getting a bit annoyed, but at least i have lots of Magister's boots.

I went in to UD Strat. Soloed the first group of mobs, me and my pet. Ran over to the left gate, He was standing there. I was able to pull him over without aggroing anything else because of their level, but watch for pat. I Killed him before he even got to me and the Picolo DROPPED on the FIRST TRY!! I was soo happy. I've wanted this trinket for a very long time :)

70 Rouge with Greenish/bluish gear with a multilate build.

No problem with stealthing around in there, had a problem with the rats thou :)
But when ive found him he was easy to take down. Kept him stunning and pulled of a few crits. Het got like two hits, and the flute dropped on my first try :D

The way this trinket works is, it gives your a sort of "buff" or Aura and causes nearby persons to dance. At first you start dancing, then after another "chime" sound effect, others start dancing. You have to stay dancing in order to keep the buff. Works best on a group of male draenei. LOL

This can also be used to break the scripting code when used on afk bot in battle grounds. Probably the best reason to get one.

It does something to there bot which is unexpected and stops the bot from working, five mins later the bot dont do its jump thing and deserter buff for the win on pesky nub bots.

This boss does not require stealth.

If you have the key you can reach this guy with very little trouble. He may spawn on the other side of another boss, The Unforgiven, but he's also a pushover. If you don't have the key it might need a bit of fancy footwork to reach him but if you wait for the right opportunities you can sneak past most mobs, unstealthed, with no problems. It just takes good judgement.

I would recommend taking a friend with you and getting the key the first time though. I'm an enchanter and I still come back to this instance just to fight Hearthsinger and The Unforgiven over and over, they're the best source of Large Brilliant Shards.

On the item itself, it's excellent. I use this in combination with Orb of Deception at the Orgrimmar mailbox or at the start of AV, it always gets a reaction.

Worked my way over to this guy, and i had to kill 2 adds. Wouldnt you know it, one of them dropped the shadowcraft bracers =P

My only problem was if i accidently aggroed the group of undead right in front of the two ghouls.

At level 70, the aggro radius on the mobs in Stratholme is so miniscule that you can walk right past them without any problems. I'm a level 70 rogue and I didn't even bother to stealth. In fact, stealthing will probably make it harder since for some reason the stealth seeing mobs will detect you from farther away than the unstealthed aggro radius.

For melee, he dodges like a mofo, but honestly he hits like a pansy and only has about 7k hitpoints so he drops fast.

Incoming hate... I got it the first try because I was bored and needed something to do. Can't say the same for my priest pre-TBC... many, many Strath runs for that one.

Soloable as a lvl 70 affliction lock.

Go to the side entrance, and take a left. Then you'll see many mobs standing in a circle around a water fountain. From there type /target hearth and if he's targetable, he should be to the left or to the right, just one mob pull away. If he's not, he spawned too far away so just run out and reset the instance. You CAN reach him if he spawns far away but it's not worth the time and effort to kill trash to get there for locks.

As a level 70 Mage (Fire + not amazingly equipt) I was able to take this guy on easily.

All I did was keep reseting (5 times within an hour?) till he was in the left position (quickest and easiest position) then attacked him. Hid behind the wall near the box's to get out of his line of sight so he would attack closer (to avoid me having to swim through mobs to loot him). It took about 3/4 firebolts+Blasts. Took 6 Resets using the back entrance.

Actually using the item was not nearly as fun as I had hoped. I expected a reaction, even a negative one, from people at the auction house, but none came...

Also do not forget to remove trinket after use or you may lose out on stats for your next fight (easily done - I still forget all the time)

This trinket has a 1 minute cooldown after use.

When you use it, it applies a timeless buff on you called Piccolo of the Flaming Fire. It makes you and other players around 5 yards away from you dance.

The buff will not break if you do other emotes like /fear, etc. It will, however, break if you move and stop dancing.

It will also (annoyingly) break when you search for anything in the AH (the buff fades the minute you hit enter or the search button).

This is still very much there, i just decided i wanted to try and solo him today as a 70 paladin, went in, and cleared about 10-12 groups of undeads, and 3-4 of those green giants. died once because of a eye of naxx spawn and that pulled another group. But the first time i killed him, he dropped the trinket for me :-)

I already got this on my Druid which was really easy to get.

I just got this also on my Warlock, the person above (two posts) who said the aggro range is miniscule is deluded, like most instances, unless you are stealthed you may as well be walking past a lv70 mob.

I had to clear the first bunch of trash from the normal entrance, then managed to kill a few of the pack on the right (by far the easiest route to take) died and went back in managing to path my way past the rest of the pack on the right.

Each class will have to select their own way to getting to his first spawn point, which is just past the section where the portculis comes down and you get loads of rats after you.

Step just outside then spam a /target hearth macro which would be handy to make.

If he is there he will be by some steps, don't stand on the steps and pull him cos he will evade, but you CAN fight him at lv70 and not pull anyone else because he is non-aggressive.

If you pull aggro anywhere near the rat section (make sure you have a macro to spam) run through and spam it so you can see if he is there, because if you die and he is not, you can reset the instance whilst in ghost form and try again.

I got this trinket yesterday on my first kill!

Me (65 feral druid) and my boy friend (65 feral druid) were doing some group quests we had in there for AD rep and we spotted him, he was soo easy my friend just stood by and watched me solo him.

My boy friend said he was going to need and nuke it, if it dropped as I would be un-bearable with it! MasterLooter for the win... Azjol-Nerub EU here I come, be prepared to get annoyed with me!

Very easy to farm as a hunter, go in the back service gate (needs the key) and take the first left. Use track undead, the cool thing here is that the mob you want appears as a yellow dot, he is often very close to the left or right of the tunnel you walk through on the left. You can walk past all the mobs without aggro to get to him, and he is an easy kill. Took me about 20 kills to get it, fun trinket :)

Using the piccolo will give you a buff that casts a spell every 5 seconds or so, making people around you dance.

If you or anyone under the spell moves, jumps, sleeps etc the buff will cancel and they won't dance until the buff on you ticks again.

The only bad things are that:
a) it doesn't work on enemy players (when flagged for PvP at least)
b) Once you equip it, you must wait 60 seconds before being able to use it :(

Just don't go into a crowded room, cast it, get distracted and forget about it for an hour. A lot of people got angry with me when i did that :P

I didn't see it mentioned before, at least not specifically, but if you are un-flagged for PvP, this item will not affect people who are flagged.

I was very frustrated why certain random people weren't dancing when I used it, and never once thought about it being PvP-related. Turn on your Tag to get those pesky BG-ers dancing, too!

Went in with 10 man on July 26th, 2005 at 19:30 gametime. Came out 5� hours later at 01:00 gametime, each with his/her own trinket.

Not often I have so much fun in an instance.
We kept running between 2 spawn positions, killing the ghoul to make sure he respawned.

We took him down 32 times, got out with 22 large brilliant shards (since no one needed any of the blue items he droppes) and 1 piccolo each.

Great times, and great fun toying with the trinket. :)

hmm, how do i explain? ok, from front entrance, u get to the intersection where u can go left to tobacco man and right through a gate, that should be the gate with the crazy rabid rats that attack you, after coming outta that gate theres an abom pat and a random ghoul pat, directly in front of you should be a building with an over hang, its on fire, as most buildings are in strat =P and under the over hang, standing buy some crates is hearthsinger forrestien, or w/e his name is, his name is yellow and hes a 57 leet, not a very hard battle >.>...ok, next spot, from side entrance u go in and open up the gate, magistrate bart will start screaming bout intruders and run away, u clear this area, and there is a gated path to your left, it leads to a big courtyard with a fountain in the middle, at the entrance to that area if u look on your right there should be a building identical to the other one i described, he will be by the boxes again, and btw i got it with a roll of a 10, other guy rolled a 2...HAHA, anyways good luck, heard drop rate is teh suxors

After a day of grinding it with a group was doing stratholme with some guildies. I got there before them so I entered and check the place. Mmm, no ghoul on the left side, great. Going on. /target Heartsinger. Goody, he is there. Right side!
Moonfire-pulled him and bear form killing him
Didn't use any heal on me or any trinekt , Won the fight with 20% hp. Picolo dropped, and now OG is a happier place :D
My friend can solo it aswell,he's a hunter.

Went in today as a lvl 60 rogue and with a lvl 70 hunter. Didn't need the "key to the city" since 60 rogue could pick the locks...just had to open the gates for the hunter to run through to the tunnel mentioned in above comments...he pulled Hearthseeker and killed him no problem then we rolled for the trinkets each time until we got the piccolos. Rogue waited inside the gate (didn't need to sneak past mob) and when the blue items came up to roll for, it worked just fine even though wasn't by the corpse. :) Hope that helps! It took us a few times to figure out that it wasn't necessary for the rogue to sneak in and that the hunter doesn't aggro any of the mobs/mob members (at lvl 70 anyway). He could practically stand next to them...so good luck to all else who try for this awesome Trinket. :)

**p.s. should mention that with these 2 at these levels, it didn't make a difference which 'monsters' were at the gate....the hunter could run past all of them and they didn't follow.

I learned (the hard way) that if you reset the instance too many times it won't let you back in for another hour. You can still get in the instance, but you'll fall through the ground and have to rez at the graveyard.

He's really easy to solo as a 70 hunter. Just run by all the mobs, track undead, see if he's to the right of the tunnel from the service gate side. If he is, just pull him or run to him and start killing him. Pet should have aggro, so pound away with whatever you want. Yeah, he only has about 7K health, so it should only take like a minute to kill him. I've found about 10 of each item except the Piccallo. But I have faith! Just have to wait another hour before I can go back in and try again... :)

This is, hands down, the best item in the game. Here I am, afk in front of the IF Bank mailbox and everyone who comes by cuts a rug. Mwhaha! Should be fun on Kara nights with the guild.

I solo'd this guy as a 70 fire mage. Tiny aggro radius on mobs, just open the service gate, go to the tunnel on the left, and /target H. Reset if nothing.

If something, look to the right and pull if he's there. Clean pull, use LOS to get him for trouble free aoe spamming for a quick drop.

If he's on the left, hug the wall and, with my spec, AP pyro pull the 1st ghoul and POM the second. Pull all three to the corner and AOE spam until the ghouls drop. Ghouls smack clothies hard, so watch health and keep mana shield going.

Took 10 tries to get him. 4 no spawns, 1 right spawn, 5 left.

Getting this trinket is fairly easy. Me (70 MS Warrior) and a 70 frost mage went in and got this for both of us. (6 runs total)

My best advice is to go through the back or side entrance they may call it. If you have Atlas Loot/Atlas that also helps because it shows you exactly where his spawn points are. When you walk through the back entrance stay to the left along the wall after you open the gate so you don't pull the group on the right. After you get past that, stay to the left go to the end of the tunnel and type /tar Hearth. If you target him then you should be able to see his spawn on the left side or right side right after the tunnel. If not then take a right and keep to the wall on the right side. Keep going straight until you see his spawn. These are the 3 places he spawned for us and he spawned every single time we reset the instance. We'd kill him and he'd drop something else so we'd run to the back entrance and reset. It's not fairly hard, I'd take a healer with me unless you're a rogue but most of the things in there can see stealthed.

Soloed Hearthsinger as 68 holy paladin, Piccolo dropped on the first try.
Getting to Hearthsinger isn't a problem as long as you watch where you walk, and the rats really don't give any trouble on the way.

was on zeppelin when this blood elf and everyone on the zeppelin started dancing including me which was weird.. but i saw that when i moved i couldnt stop dancing, a tauren turned boomkin form and started humping everyones legs by dancing. was hilarious

just got this on my fifth try
me (68 druid) and my friend (70 rogue) were able to get to him when he was to the LEFT of the gate (obviously we got him when he was to the right as well...he's soloable by even a 68 when he's to the right.)
so worth it, lots of fun, easy to get.

The mob that drops this is not, or at least is no longer, a rare spawn. Farmed it on my hunter, 9 resets, 10 kills. He spawns in one of five locations, so look around. As a hunter, track undead helped a ton, as he shows up as a big yellow quest blip.

Got this today after about 4 kills

Heres a small guide, i guess

1.Either have 300LP (Rogue) or the key
2. Go in the side entrance, i actually got mine when there was ghouls at the gate, so w/e
3. open gate, run to the left tunnel
4.use a /target hearthsinger, use it in the tunnel
5. if he isnt there, reset
6. if he is there, Go to him and kill him, even if hes surrounded by mobs, they're quite easy at 70
7. Enjoy your new toy : )

Soloed as a 70 holy pally. I died once because I accidentally aggroed two mobs and that gut boss thingy. I got the piccolo on my first try :D I WAS SO HAPPY! HELL YES! TONS OF FUNNN. The guy was an easy kill, and thanks to the comments above that were really helpful, I avoided everything except for two mobs.

If instead of it only working on your Faction and it being just for fun, they should make it usable on the other Faction and then it can be a PvP Trinket. Especially useful on a Mage when casting Pyroblast. Simply run up and use item and his casting is interrupted AND he dances. It would be more useful. Also, if it's not changed, then at least bring the cooldown to 10 seconds.

Soloed as a 67 combat rogue, no shadowstop. He's easier than the same level elite mobs, most of which you can avoid with distract.

Go in side entrance, coords: 47, 24 (looks like a cave on the map of Eastern Plaguelands). Skirt to the left of the first group of mobs, go under the open gate on the left and he's usually in the next room on the right under a overhang of one of the buildings. If not there, he's along the path to the right (stay left along it though) and on the right under the overhang of a different building.

Took 3 runs, 4 resets. I heard there's a 3rd place he spawns, but I just reset if he wasn't in the first two places because I didn't want to risk it.

Got this on first kill and it's a riot! Once you activate it anyone that comes close enough (5 yards I think) will start to break it down, not just those that were close to start with. It's like a channeled effect.

I think I've discovered the trick to this guy.

First of all, he is a rare spawn, so it will probably take several stratholme runs to make him appear. If he does appear however, you should take full advantage of this opportunity.

Forresten will appear in one of two general areas. He will appear in the vicinity of the Market Row Postbox (usually he is next to some steps or underneath a building overhang). If you're doing a Scarlet Strat run, and he's spawned here, glance to your right after you pass through the booby trapped area with all of the bugs.

The other place he'll appear is in the central area of Festival Lane. I have noted two places where he'll appear there. One is directly to the right of the huge doorway to Elder's Square (where that chapel and the service entrance are located). The other is under another building overhang to the left of that.

Now, if you are able to find him, there is a trick to this which I believe I discovered. Some people report that he will respawn after a while. This is true, and there is a way to accelerate it.

Step one, kill him. Loot everything off of him.

Step two, check every known spawn point where he might appear. In one of these areas, you will find a lone plague ghoul that recently appeared. Kill the ghoul.

Once you kill him, either another ghoul will spawn, or Forresten will respawn soon afterwards. You know that Forresten will respawn soon if his corpse disappears shortly after killing the ghoul. If another ghoul spawns, kill it.

As near as I can tell, his respawn time is approximately 10 minutes if you do this. This means that, provided you have cleared all of the regular mobs, you can have very many opportunities to kill him (and get the piccolo of course) before everything respawns. Granted, you will have to deal with the occasional Eye of Naxxramas or Abomb respawn, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

So, that said, good hunting!

Me and my mates were doing an Scarlet Questrun. While we were opening Postboxes we found Hearthsinger Forresten. We killed him easily and this beauty drops. I win it with an 90+ roll. We continued to open Postboxes and strangly we found Hearthsinger Forresten again! We killed him easily again and another Piccolo dropped. Is that called luck or what? :)

This is a really neat trinket to get, and it's easy to solo the instance to him. As people have said, he's not a rare spawn, though he's marked as one. He just spawns at multiple places. While sneaking through the instance, watch out for the elite trash mobs, they can see through stealth and invisibility.

Use the side entrance at 47,23 in Eastern Plaguelands if you have the key to the city, or can lockpick/blast it open. In the instance, follow the short hallway and open the other locked portcullis. From there, hug the left wall and go through the hallway with half-closed portcullises on either side. While in the hallway switch to following the right wall. Once you're out, go about 15 yards more and look across the courtyard (pass the fountain, to where two Plague Ghouls are standing next to each other) for a neutral name. If Hearthsinger Forresten's standing there, carefully make your way close enough to pull. The other mobs won't aggro when you pull him. Pull him so he'll die where you can loot safely - he attacks from range, so pull him far. He hit my clothie for about 200-400 each arrow. Not a hard fight at all, and he doesn't fear close to death. Another spawn point is further down the street on the right, under a building's overhang. Make your way down if you haven't found him yet. Once you get near two Plague Ghouls standing next to each other, cross the street and follow the left wall through another hallway with portcullises. Switch to following the right wall while inside. Watch out because you might run into The Unforgiven, an easy elite boss with some adds. Keep following the right wall down the street and he can spawn on a stairway or under a building's overhang.

If you can't use the side entrance, go in from the front and kill the first group of non-elite skeletons. Kill the group with 3 elites on the right, then hug the right wall until you come close to the intersection. Watch for pats, then cross the road to the west side and hug the left wall. When the pats go away, walk between the mobs heading in a northerly direction until you come to a hallway with portcullises on both sides. When you walk inside, they'll close, and rats will mob you. Use any AoE you have to kill them. Once they open again, hug the right wall and look at the shop you can see coming from the hallway. That's the last spawn point mentioned above, if he's not there, run there and then follow the left wall (just work your way backwards from the previous paragraph).

I killed him 8 times:
woollies of the prancing minstrel: 3
mgaister's boots: 2
rainbow girdle: 1
songbird blouse: 1
piccolo of the farming fire: 1

Solo'd by 70 fire mage (moderately geared).

Well I think it's annoying, but that isn't because it makes my character dance. Most of the time it's at the AH or at the mailbox & you don't even see yourself. It's the annoying tune people play over and over again. Once or twice it's whatever, but every 5 seconds for 10 minutes straight is damn annoying. Now I could turn my sound off, but I shouldn't have to. It'd be nice to see a real cooldown added to this.

this trinket is useless, ok its just for fun it makes ppl dance and thats it.
so why should it have a lvl req? if a lvl 25 char somehow got a couple 60s or 70s to take him in here just so he could pick up the flute he should be allowed to use it. i mean it doesnt help you in game AT ALL.

Hearthsinger is not a rare spawn, he's been there every time I've gone in Stratholme.

To get to him, you will have to kill the group of skeletons at the main entrance and a few plagued rats (If you're not a hunter, that is). Should be pretty easy to walk past the other mobs as a lvl 70.

ONLY hearthsinger drops this trinket, hes a rare spawn, that spawns near baron side, hes in a group of mobs but can be pulled with range without aggroing any mobs, so im certain a rogue could get this trinket solo, especially as he has extremely low hp

lol just got mine, always wanted one, so i started farming strath on my 70 mage, fist i was going in main gates killing like eveymod down to him lol sad, decided to go in baron side, as a lvl 70 u can get to his frist location without any aggro.. and second location with only fighitng the mob that comes at the gates, ez for lvl 70.. anyhow i killed him 33 times to get the piccalo and spent about 2 hours in org messing with ppl. lol worth my time ;-) GL

Hearthsinger Forresten is not the only mob that drops it. the key holder ( forgot his name ) droped it aswell. whats funny about that is that Hearthsinger droped it and then we went to kill off the key holder and he droped it aswell all within like 15 minutes of one another.
now that i got this all i got left to get is the Orb Of Deception

Since the level cap was raised it is now possible to run through the instance to him with nearly now aggro with a hunter. This could obviously work for a rogue to.

At 70 you can dodge between the group of mobs and make your way to him from the Front gate or Service gate. Which means that you no longer have to reset the instance each time you don't get the skeletons or he's not in this spawn.

Also the service gate at 70 will not aggro anybody if you go off to the left side.

Hearthsinger is very easy kill.

Here's my first hand testimony:
Last night I was in the Iron Forge Auction House when my character suddenly started to dance... while I was bidding. I was going to report a bug when I saw everyone there was dancing too. I thought this was way too much of a coincidence. As soon as I heard it was due to this nifty litte trinket, I was convinced I HAD to have this! I was cracking up hysterically.

Thank you Blizzard! You have the best item ideas!

A lvl 60 hunter and I (lvl 60 druid) got him. I would have tried to solo, but I didn't have the key to the city. It actually worked out rather well. He would open the door, I would sneak to that spot, check to see if the lone ghoul or Hearthsinger Forresten was there and then I would tell the hunter if he was there. He would distract the first mob with his pet, and he would run by then feign death. Mob would reset and we would be safe out of aggro range. I would pull Hearthsinger Forresten into that underpass where there are no mobs and we would take him down easily. We had to do this process easily over 50 times before the Piccolo dropped. And I do mean 50 times. We were farming this thing for 5 and a half hours. He takes forever to appear there, so lots of going in, coming out, resetting instance, going back in, etc. We didn't have elixir of undead! So take some for the stealther! But, we got the Woolies, the Songbird, and the Rainbow over and over and over until finally the Piccolo dropped 2 times in a row- We both got it! :-) We also got a ton of Scourgestones (like 9). VERY tedious process- just like this post lol. Just pray the piccolo drops for you faster than it dropped for us. Also, one comment: Why does the Piccolo (essentially a small flute) sound like a harp?

If you are a lvl 60 druid with the key (like me) this is really easy to do... Just be careful when you open the first gate to stay as far away as possible, because the first time i tried i went to close and aggrod the first group. Then, stealth past the first group, and go left to the gate (its opened, so you shouldnt have to open it) that leads to another room. As soon as you enter, look to your right and if he spamwed he should be there. Keep in mind you might have to reset the instance several times before he appears. I was lucky and i only had to reset the instance 10 times total to see him twice. Make sure that the scouts (usually a fat abom and a ghoul) pass by you, then pull him to an area with no mobs. He won't aggro any UD guys. Then if you are a druid just do what you usually do when you solo an elite, pull, bear, heal, then bear again, ect. Just like Xeo, i got the trinket first and blouse second... really weird, you think there is a pattern? hehe

Well when not many peepz knew about this trinket i was in a 10man raid in strat scarlet anyways i won on greed roll:) since that day i allways use it in blackwing lair:) realy fun making 39peepz dance at the same time:)THIS TRINKET PAWNS DELUX!:D if your in a angry guild DO NOT USE IT!

Haha, yeah some people do get mad . . . But it's funny as hell. They'd use it too, I'm sure. :) Just got my flute tonight thanks to an awesome group tha actually LET me have it on account of them knowing that I wanted it very badly. HAIL CHAPTER ZERO! saw someone using this for the first time today but i was running so i thought everyone around him was dancing willingly. finally came back and inspected him and realized what it did, but he had stopped using it.

Hella easy. I just open the gate and send my pet in immediately to aggro the first mobs, then i just ran to the doorway to the left and feign death. Then just check if he is there, hopefully on the right, very easy pull, just watch out for the 2 pats in the Festival Square. Then just take him into the safe area and kick his ass. Did about 10-12 runs before he dropped it. Also, you can only do this five times in one hour, or just wait 10 minutes for the respawn. Sooo easy.

Farmed this with my warlock and voidwalker. Reset until the mob nearest to you and the one the farthest to the left are both non elites. Open the gate, cast corruption on one, and start running toward the exit, making sure you get around the corner so the casters have to follow you. While you run, cast curse of agony and pause a bit for immolate. If the other mobs get too close use void's AOE taunt. Then shadow bolt and/or shadowburn if necessary. After those two are dead you can sneak by toward hearthsinger. If you have lots of epics you can clear out all of them including the elites on your own.

Tried to farm this instance for the flute...but after awhile i got "you've entered too many instances recently" and it didn't let me back in :(

Was easy to solo with my feral druid (cat stealth)

1 x Rainbow Girdle
1 x Magister's Boot
1 x Woollies of the Prancing Minstrel
2 x Songbird Blouse

no flute so far...

Solo'd him today as a lvl 60 Druid.

First kill: This trinket
Second kill: Songbird Blouse

The two items I was trying to obtain from him.

Basicly.. go in the side entrance using "Key to the City" go in the instance, open the gate and follow the path left that leads off into another courtyard area, as you enter, look to your right, he should be there, moonfire and run back around the corner. He'll starting firing arrows at you so get close and pull him back.

He doesn't hit *too* hard, but he dodges a lot.

He is not always in that spot, I believe he has 3 other spawn locations, but I found it easier to just reset the instance if he wasn't there until he was.

would be nice if blizzard would just remove this trinket. has to be gayest thing ive seen on this game. they make other things anti-abusive but make this? next lets make a trinket that causes everyone to run around out of control for the duration! or a trinket that prevents anyone from moving! i got it, a trinket that spams everyone around you with tells endlessly.... im sure you get the point... this is just lagg enhancer trinket and great annoyance to anyone that doesnt want to be forced to dance. if they are going to make trinket like this, it should at least be optional and not FORCED on everyone. if they are going to allow this, then how come i cant summon someone without their approval? sure i could summon you at bottem of ocean and you drown before you ever had a chance of getting to top for air(if you couldnt hearth), but it isnt forced, you'd have to accept the pop up. to bad this garbage is BoP, there are hordes of pathetic people that would actualy value and pay huge money for it no doubt.

if you want to be kewl... get orb of deception and save us lesser computer users the lagg.

lol see invis and stealth mobs get added to strat in the next patch! thanks blizzard!

It seems to be broken on Classic compared to Nostalrius. It makes people dance for maybe 10 seconds and then stops completely.
