This chest piece is the best chest piece for 40's bracket Hunter and Shammy twinks.

I reccomend that you get a few lvl 60's to run you thru ST to get this chest piece. The bosses that drop this are in 6 rooms where you have to click on the sculptures in a certain order.

If you calculate all the drop rates together there is a 12.7% drop rate.

I got pants, i want boots, chest and shoulders for my shaman. He is enchance so i want "of the bear" like i got for my pants.

This is with no doubt a very good chest piece. Ehn shammies will like that amount of AP and with some luck, if you get the "of the Monkey" version (or something that benefits ehnancement shamans), you will be able to wear possibly the second best 49 twink chestpiece of the game.
But imo it's not worth trying hard to get it since Honorguard Chestpiece (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=9650) comes from a quest chain...^^

Also when did Thottbot change from showing the OF... stats? :( I have no idea how much each breastplate will add now. Or is there a simple formula based on item lvl?

i am faced with the same problem on my quest to make the best lvl 49 hunter ever made here is the 3 chest i am going after...

Atal'ai Breastplate!random enchantments but want of agi or of power...
Fungus Shroud Armor=awsome
Vest of the Den Watcher=great

you can find the random enchantments worth at the world of warcraft armory...good luck

i tried finding Atal'ai Breastplate of the bear but i couldnt seem to find it listed, im just wondering is there such thing or has anyone gotten that before because if so im going to try to get it for my shaman. info appreciated =)

Like, 0.03% - 0.06% drop rate ffs come on do blizzard even know how many runs that would take? So if you are going into the dungeon for that.... Good luck, you'll need it!

Got this (of the falcon - 16 int 17 agi) and Atal'ai Boots of Agility (11 stam 17 agi) on my first run and then Atal'ai Leggings of the Monkey (17 stam 15 agi 15 stam ) on my second run ^^

I'm hoping i'll get a "Of the monkey" or "of Agility" as i grind in here. It be a nice step up before i start trying to get Ogre Forged Hueburk.

Okay, you've just described the law of averages. Congratulations. You passed algebra or something. Now lets talk statistics.

It is true that each endividual event will garner a 2% drop rate. This means that each event you enter you have a 2% chance of it dropping. By grouping these events statistically (ignoring a couple basic rules) you have a 100% chance of getting this drop in 50 kills.

By adding in the law of diminishing returns you reduce your actual chance by around 25% or so (been a while, numbers aren't perfect) and will never reach the desired 100% effect of XX kills. It will diminish exponentially the closer you get to 100%.

(Scale runs roughly like: 2% +1.8% +1.7% +1.65% +1.6 +1.57** for one run. Counting the individual run would be 10.43% for each or around 13.##% for two.)

Of course, that's not why I stopped by. I was just wondering what the stat plusses were.

I have the Atal'ai Breastplate of Agility. It's +26 agility, so that's a total of 74 ranged attack power from that one piece of armor. ^^

there's a good deal luck involved to get this. i've only done ST once so far, but on that run the guys who power the shield didn't drop any blues at all.

If you kill all 6 it comes to about 12%? Which imo isnt bad cus thats about the same as every other good drop from most instances.

Dude keep the University bollocks in the books. Don't want any of that Law of Averages here. Keep it simple please :P

I hope to see one of these; https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=38348 or one of these; https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=18478/hyena-hide-jerkin in my time at Sunken Temple, although it's going to be practically impossible when looking at the odds (i'm Hunter).

If that Fire Resistance one drops i'll @#$% my pants.

i got https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=19335/spineshatter on my very first run. was nice since i was lvl 48 at the time (had a couple friends helpin me). both stats +17. wouldve loved 'of agility' but the int helps me last for fights that take awhile.
