Useful for an alliance-only quest and the recipe it gives, and then only for a recipe that is sold by one vendor, who's only spawned for ten minutes every hour or so, and only sells one.

Hey, if you have the recipe, stock up, but if you don't, don't bother.

lean wolf flanks are also dropped by black ravengers and mastiffs in darkshire. in my experience they also have a higher drop rate

Okey. Rabid Dire Wolf have extremely low drop rate. Killed 30 and got 1 lean wolf flank.
But then I started to kill Young black ravager & black ravager. So far I killed 5 and got 5.

i, on the other hand had a better drop rate with the rabid dire wolves as opposed to any other kind in duskwood. i got the drop about every third wolf. and they are faster to kill. i did not get any from the starving dire wolves nor from the mastiffs.

They also drop nicely in SFK, got 85+ from maybe 10 runs.

i got 12 from killing wolves for the quest from lars at svens camp. the drop rate for the starving and rabid wolves was pretty good

Black Ravager's drop 8/10 times.
MUCH better drop rate than any other dw wolf.

These are needed in opening the gate of AQ. Looks like SFK is the best place to farm this stuff

Save these when you get them, they're useful for a quest in Duskwood and a great resource for cooking.
