PvE armor for PvP

Certain classes have awsome 2 piece set bonuses and will use this to their advantage. They will put on those, then fill in with mostly PvP gear, with maybe a trinket, ring and even sometimes a neck PvE piece.
This is what I have had to do on my pally. Don't let anyone tell you crap about a pally's burest being too high. Right now, it's most likely the lowest burst of any other class in PvP (A good sub rogue can take me down about 12k with just an opener), but, pallies just have some extras in survability to make up for the loss. So, What I found is that I hover around 700-750 resilience, but wear a PvE trinket, ring, neck sometimes, and with my next major PvP upgraded, I will be adding another PvE ring or trinket. It really feels like my burst is up enough with those changes for me to be competative. (even though those pesky locks and mages still whoop me pretty consistantly grrrr)

I would love to hear a good sub rogue weigh in on the validity of this statement, it sounds dubious at best.
I was dueling a friend of mine on his sub rogue, and he was practicing his openers on me. I went from a little over 24k health to 13k in about 3 seconds with 729 resilience and plate gear. He's using a 226 weapon in tyhe OH and a 245 weapon in the MH, gear is mostly deadly with PvE pieces mixed in. He was able to repeat it too, so it wasn't a fluke.

You mean you can be beaten by only two classes consistantly, and your so bad, that you think you have the lowest burst in the game...really? As near as I can tell, you are the only "execute class" that can stun lock...so unless your just plain terrible, you should be stunning "that guy" beating him into a pulp...(yeah, i know your going to say "but but but he could trinket" if your in an arena team, and your stun is the only cc you guys are using your a tool, wait until your partner uses his, wait for the trinket, then drop the hammer...or you fail...)...and IF they can survive the flat out retarded amount of damage you can lay down in a stun rotation, then they are going to be red (or you did something wrong...admit it) and all you have to do is drop your hammer of eat pali and die execute. Mages are over simplified right now, sure, its out of control that recount is clocking that arcane spec at 6k dps, using 2 spells, but at least there are 2 classes in the game, that you need to learn how to beat...just like there are only 2 classes in the game that can crack your freaking "reset button" bubble. L2 suck less.

This is how Blizzard got it wrong. People are supposed to want PvP gear.
I hope it's fixed in Cata. Maybe PvP wont be as bursty, and consist of longer battles with more strategy and no facerolling which some classes do. *cough* WTB fun spells and abilities instead of damage increase spells and abilities to rediculous levels.
I would have to agree. The only problem is, you would have to give all classes the ability to decrease healing by 50% and multiple stuns/snares. Think about the classes that have average burst and minimal cc. That being said, when does my pally get a charge, mortal strike ability, a bleed, spell reflect, and another stun? lol Yes, I went there...

I dont get it pain, ive read a half dozen posts where you seem almost reasonable, but when it comes to your freaking pali, you act like that girl from charlie and the chocolate factory...Most palis even agree that palis are anything but underpowered, why could you possibly think you need more? I really am left with no other thoughts, you just must not know how to play your toon. If you cant burst someone down as a pali, you need to talk to the guys that can cleave through all 30k of my hp in one stun rotation. You are doing something wrong.
