Hi I'm planning switch to tanking with my pala, but I have no idea which weapon speed will be the best (I mean fast or slower ). I know warriors use fast ones, but pallies? With faster I will be able to stack up seal faster, however I will deal less damage by HoTR, so which speed should I choose?

It doesnt matter. Slow will give more threat all else the same, fast will stack your dots faster.
Basically, get whatever has teh best tanking stats on it. Ignore speed.

Unless you're expertise hard capped a slow one will have the advantage of less parry gibbing.
It's not like it's going to wipe your raid but there are differences if you exclude threat.

I'm surprised you didn't jump all over this: HotR actually doesn't use Top End damage, it only uses DPS. So, the higher DPS your weapon is, the more damage you will do with HotR; this is useful for Protribution
In a tanking situation though, there is no real advantage to using slow over fast, or vice versa. Just use whichever will provide you with the best tanking stats.
Slow will give you somewhat more threat as a result of SoV extra damage. But the difference is somewhat minimal in the grand scheme of things.
HotR, as identified, doesn't make much difference between slow or fast, it's based on weapon DPS. However, for a given ilvl, DPS is generally identical, so HotR will be indifferent.
I would note that all the tanking weapons (i.e. the ones with defense, avoidance and strength stats on them) are generally faster weapons. The slower ones typically stack stamina, agility and attack power, and are itemised for hunters. The weapon speed makes considerably less difference than the stats.

Rogues actually care more about speed than hunters and pallies, so they don't have much of a choice.

Combat rogues with dual 2.5secs and
Killing Spree
. Yeah, I'll pay that.

Did you already forget im a rogue to the heart ;p
Low speed MHs are teh BOMB for any rogue spec.
Thus the reason im thinking of switching to combat since blizz introduced axes to our arsenal of mass destruction.
My point was that squishy mentioned that low speed weapons are itemised for hunters.
Hunters dont give a care bear about weapon speed, rogues do.

Too bad weapon swapping is still a DPS loss and we need a fast OH for
Combat Potency
.

Wait a sec, define 'high speed' and 'low speed'? Are you referring to '2.5sec' = high and 1.6sec = low? Or 1.6sec = high speed and 2.5sec = low? ;p
I define it as the latter :P

Lol question:D
If anyone takes that seriously:
speed = number of actions per set amount of time
Theres no need to investigate. Though a lot of ppl are confused, not realising that swing-time = 1/speed, thus reversing the "high" and "low".

Yeah, I know. My query was because svirve made the point:
My point was that squishy mentioned that
high speed
weapons are itemised for hunters.
when I clearly said:

typically stack stamina, agility and attack power, and are itemised for hunters.
Hence why I think we're talking at cross-definitions here.

All the intelligent discusion above was now called irrelevant unless someone edits all the posts and clearly states
what the hell is a slow weapon
mentioned there.

My bad i realised that i had posted high speed weapons first but i only thought i did it on the first line.
I'll edit it to make it clear that i mean low speed weapons.
Just like with a car. If your speed is high you travel faster. In wow if your speed is high you hit faster.
That's how i reason it.
