I have made this batch file that i use when i starting WoW
It will delete creaturecache.wdb and run WoW if files exist
Open a texteditor like notepad
Mark and Copy text below and insert in dokument
Edit in line 12 if needed (i am running W7 64bit, default installation)
Save file as WoW.bat on your Desktop
REMARK
- Icon on WoW.bat have to be a wheel-icon (not a doc-icon)
@echo off
echo //////////////////////
echo // Tool for NPCSCAN //
echo // Cache-deleter by //
echo // Mikael Andersen //
echo //////////////////////
echo.
rem Change location in line 12 with any texteditor if needed
rem like set wowdir="c:\program files\world of warcraft\" <-- remember \ in end
rem Save as WoW.bat on your desktop (icon should change to a wheel)
set wowdir="C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\"
rem Lines below should not be change
set creatur_file=%wowdir%"cache\wdb\engb\creaturecache.wdb"
set launcher_file=%wowdir%"World of Warcraft Launcher.exe"
if exist %creatur_file% goto killit
goto notfound
:killit
del /q %creatur_file%
echo file creaturecache.wdb is now deleted
goto startwow
:notfound
echo creaturecache.wdb was not found - 3 reason possible
echo 1. This file have been startet before without being logged into any WoW-Players
echo 2. Last session of World Of Warcraft got a crash !
echo 3. Wrong file-distanation in this file, check WoW.bat with any texteditor !
:startwow
if exist %launcher_file% goto wowstart
echo.
echo -------------------------------------------
echo Launcher NOT found. Please edit this file
echo -------------------------------------------
pause
goto end
:wowstart
echo.
echo --------------------
echo Starting Launcher
echo --------------------
echo.
echo This file will close automatic when Launcher close down for game start
%launcher_file%
:end
exit

My batch file for this is just
@ECHO OFF
DEL "D:\Games\World of Warcraft\Cache\WDB\enUS\creaturecache.wdb"
CALL "D:\Games\World of Warcraft\Wow-64.exe"
whats the difference with yours, and why is it so complicated?

His is just more feedback-y. Tells you when stuff went wrong. That's more or less it.
