This is the mob that spawns when Curse of Doom kills someone and it's effect procs.
He can also be summoned by the "Ritual of Doom", which requires a full party to do and will kill one of your members in the progress. Dieing this way will not give a 10% durability loss.

As for the Doomguard itself, it's like a beefed Infernal. Not to mention it scares alot of people if this thing erects from a fallen teammate.

I just saw a movie where a doomguard critted for 20k, so yes it is sick damage ;)

They're disappointingly frail; low HP, low damage.

if you're a demonic sacrifice spec, you can summon and enslave this guy before a boss. It'll get you a pet and bonus damage without losing your buff.

if u get lucky and cast curse or doom on some hunters pet in a BG it will kill your enemys quick. and anyway people are afraid of doomgaurds because they are huge and do ungodly damage. i used one in tyrs hand and i was able to take out pretty big mobs. if you are worried about it turning on u but u want to have one do this.... spec for enslave demon , if it turns on u banish it and enslave it again. this is by far one of the coolest pets in the game

Im a 52 Night Elf Hunter from Blackrock, and i like warlocks too, i think they pawn also and am interested in this pet....i really pawn almost any class, but WARLOCKS, my talent points go against em /cry thats why i like em, theyre GOOD Anybody got a picture of it? realy wanna see it =D Ty, please show me a pic of DIS demon

The problem with the doomguard is there is only 2 ways to get it...get a RARE summon from a curse of doom...but mind you its rare and then you have to enslave it once its summoned. Or quest for it. Once you get the spell "Ritual of Doom" you can summon it with a few requirements: 1 Demonic Figurine (1g) and 4 other people to help you channel. Then one of the 4 will die once the doomguard is summoned and when its summoned you dont even have control of it you have to enslave. It also has a 1hr cool down.

Well, i'm making a warlock but i wanna know how rare the curse of doom works... i mean is it like 1 in 20 or 1 in 50, or even 1 in 100. just wanna know for future reference

Well i killed rams in AV but never got 1 then when i went to outland it finally worked they look awsome and own a lot too

when i got my first 1 i actually killed it on accident

i saw a undead warlock once with a doomguard he used curse of doom on a strider neer the xroads it was sweet untill it turned on the lock lol it was funny after that he enslaved it again and unleashed it in the xroads o my god havoc and destruction haha

Doomguards are more for instances, in battlegrounds they take 4 people and you have to sacrifice a person with a requirement of a demonic figurine. They also can snap out of enslavement and attack your raid group so they aren't permanent. They aren't that bad but mostly for raids not battlegrounds.

ok the 3rd pick is from me. every doomguard IS NOT lvl 60. it's ALWAYS YOUR LVL! you get the curse of doom at lvl 60 but that picture isnt photoshoped or anything. i wouldnt try THAT hard to trick you about something so dumb. well concider this as a EDIT cuz doomgaurds hit like crazy, there REALLY hard to enslave and they are EPICALLY RARE! so when u see one, dont kill it. enslave it. i've ben trying to get one of these for a long time. but it's best to have em to show off and kill something very strong real quick. because he WILL disapear on you or kill you. he has high stamina and hit very well. my opinion is, he's much better than any old felguard. so might want to edit this, making it lvl 60-70 since u get the curse of doom AT 60. i dont know what it drops, because it either would have killed me, or ran away. NEVER RELY ON THIS PET. sometimes it knocks out of the enslavement and disapears. this is greengoogler. PEACE!

It might be a great summon, but hey.. I party member is sacrificed.. :P Hope Im not the one who does. xD

Btw, quest item witch gives you the "Ritual of Doom" spell: Grimoire of Doom drop, or in other words: low rate drop)
