Teron Gorefiend is a single-Tank fight. It is a good idea for other Tank characters to switch to a DPS or healing role if they are not needed for tanking.

Teron Gorefiend doesn't need to be moved or have anything special done to him from a Tank's perspective—just generate threat and mitigate damage.

The primary threat target (the Main Tank) will never be targeted by Shadow of Death.

There is some incidental raid damage from Incinerate and Shadow Bolts. A Rogue or Retribution Paladin can use Cloak of Shadows or Cleanse to quickly remove the vicious damage-over-time component of Incinerate.

When Teron Gorefiend begins casting Shadow of Death, a Rogue can use Vanish to prevent the spell from ever afflicting them. If the player Vanishes after Teron begins casting Shadow of Death and before Teron finishes, this prevents their own death and prevents the constructs from spawning.

Outside of Shadow of Death and some raid damage, there are no mechanics a Melee DPS needs to worry about. Bring as much damage as you can to finish the fight as quickly as possible.

When Teron Gorefiend begins casting Shadow of Death, a Hunter can use Feign Death to prevent the spell from ever afflicting them. If the player Feigns Death after Teron begins casting Shadow of Death and before Teron finishes, this prevents their own death and prevents the constructs from spawning.

Outside of Shadow of Death and some raid damage, there are no mechanics a Ranged DPS needs to worry about. Bring as much damage as you can to finish the fight as fast as possible.

Healers will need to heal both the Main Tank as well as all the other raiders who will be taking damage from Shadow Bolts and Incinerate.

If anyone fails to kill the constructs from their Shadow of Death, the constructs will begin damaging raid members. Healers may be able to help sustain players for a few seconds, but usually it is a losing battle.

Quick dispels are needed from Paladins and Priests to remove the damage over time component of Incinerate, which will be cast on random raid members.

Look out for raiders debuffed with Crushing Shadows—they will take increased damage from the Shadow Bolts that will be hitting random raiders.
