Best in Slot Trinkets for Arcane Mage in TBC Classic Phase 2Serpent-Coil BraidIcon of the Silver Crescent

The Lightning Capacitor is great as the main Trinket for any AoE pulls such as trash or bosses such as Morogrim.
This Trinket is also better than past phase trinkets for single target fights.

Quagmirran's Eye is also good for AoE pulls such as trash, while alongside the The Lightning Capacitor.

Mind Quickening Gem has a very long cooldown, but being able to activate it on demand for high AoE damage alongside The Lightning Capacitor is a great option.

The Sextant of Unstable Currents is an upgrade over the The Lightning Capacitor for single target fights, but pales in comparison for AoE pulls.

Mark of the Champion continues to be a great option for fights against undead or demons, but gets outperformed by Sextant of Unstable Currents, and obviously even more so by the Serpent-Coil Braid.

According to current sims there's multiple things wrong here.

You have to swap around your tier pieces. Optimal is Robes of Tirisfal and Gauntlets of the Sun King as your off-piece over Vestments/T5 gloves. This in turn means you want Belt of Blasting over Spellfire Belt, to make up for the hit lost from Vestments. Ring of Recurrence beats Band of Al'ar.

T5 gloves remain necessary for Arcane Mages though, as our p3/p4 BIS involves them and T5 shoulders for the 2p bonus. You have to mention this for forward-looking players.

You should also note that ideally, you get T5 Helm/Shoulders/Pants before Chest/Gloves. Breaking the Spellfire 3p is worth it to get the T5 2p, but in a perfect world you'll have both set bonuses running in the early weeks before your BIS set solidifies.

Please visit the Mage Discord for further information.

Another bad list by Kelman. Still deceptive in many slots, totally misusing "optional" and suggesting wrong BiS items. He clearly didn't spend more than 30 minutes putting that guide together. I wish wowhead had a better quality check for their guide writers.

Comment by VivaxForge

Crimson Bracers of Gloom shouldn't be listed as 1st "optional" above General's Silk Cuffs. PvP bracers sim better, and what is even better than PvP bracers is Ravager's Cuffs with the prefix "of the Invoker"

Similarly, I would argue Nathrezim Mindblade is sligthly better than Bloodmaw Magus-Blade

Comment by Blutelf

Why is Ring of Endless Coils from Lady Vashj not included?

Comment by nanaWoW

The fact that Inferno Waist Cord(Fire SP belt) is listed as a optional BiS belt for P2 Arcane really gets that noggin' jogging

Comment by Natsu

would Dark Iron Smoking Pipe be bis with the badge coin trinket also? like use them together? before getting mage class only trinket from t5

Comment by dropman

Missing best raid trinket Pendant of the Violet Eye

Comment by Necromage

Theres is a better ring in Phase 2 for arcane mages than the Ring of Recurrence. You can get Band of Eternity after you turn in the Mount Hyjal Attunement Quest which only requires you to kill KT and Vashj.

Comment by Exxile

Missing KT wand Doomfinger from Naxxramas, has the exact same stats than Eredar Wand of Obliteration without the +int and +stam, IMO a very viable option.

Comment by PekkaP

Fathomstone sims better than Kalecgos.

Comment by CullenDoom

Boots of the Infernal Coven are strictly better than Boots of Ethereal Manipulation but not mentioned as an alternative.
