Best Talents for Restoration Shaman Healing in TBC ClassicElemental Tree Talents

Not a very beneficial talent for Restoration, but the better of the two choices for allowing us to get Elemental Warding

This is the only real contender in the Elemental tree, providing a decent survivability increase for a relatively low talent point investment requirement.

A very weak talent, especially considering it eats up 5 full points for less than a spell's worth of extra Mana pool. Still, due to its competition being equally weak, it's a talent that mostly comes down to preference when going down the Enhancement tree.

Another bad talent, which might not even see any use if you do not use a shield or are never hit with blockable attacks. Still, in any situation where you expect to get hit in melee often (notably, PvP), it can contribute a small amount of survivability.

The main benefit of this talent is in the 2-second cooldown reduction, which can allow you to eat some incoming enemy abilities more often, and even a single grounding can turn around a game when properly timed.

This talent makes Ghost Wolf instant cast, making it infinitely more comfortable to use and non-interruptible, which is of particular use in PvP.

If you are expected to be using the physical support totems listed in this talent, they will become 15% better at increasing your group's DPS, which is a pretty good deal relative to alternative talents!

Besides the minor armor gain, reducing movement slowing effects by 50% makes you incredibly more mobile and forces any enemies who want to pin you down to use their slows twice as often, which can be a great PvP benefit against comps that rely on training / slowing the Shaman.

Restoration Tree Talents

Being able to instantly cast an emergency is priceless in all types of content, and you can also use it with in AOE scenarios.

In TBC Classic, this totem regenerates 6% of your group's total Mana every 3 seconds instead of a fixed amount, making it scale with your gear. As long as the totem stays alive, and especially if you are in a healer/caster group, this is a must-have talent, but it can be hard to keep it alive in PvP, so make sure to position it behind pillars and out of enemy line of sight whenever you can.
