If you will be standing in the same area for a minute, is a cheap way to get a good amount of extra damage in.

Keep applied to your target.

Use Stormstrike on cooldown (or time it to hit just as internal cooldown expires for maximum benefit, but this can also be a DPS loss if you wait too long and lose potential Stormstrike usages).

is your best friend when dealing with multiple enemies at once. In TBC, it has the new power of stunning enemies who attack it very often, making it much better at actually distracting enemies long enough for you to kill them one by one without breaking a sweat. Do not sleep on this totem—try it out on those tough multi-mob pulls.

Make sure to train Ghost Wolf as soon as you hit Level 20, as it will make your leveling much faster until you can get a proper mount at Level 30. is also a major spell, which you can train as soon as you hit Level 30. Get it along with your mount for maximum efficiency.

Try to group your spell casts together. The "5 second" rule determines that your Mana can only naturally regenerate when you have not cast anything for 5 seconds, which means that you can get a significant amount of Mana back from remembering to refresh , using your spells, and healing yourself in consecutive global cooldowns, rather than spacing these casts out.

No matter what you are doing, whenever you are full Mana, stop and kill 1-2 enemies before continuing on your journey. This will give you a lot of extra experience in the long run and allow you to always be using your natural mana regeneration.

While they do not give any end-game power, gathering professions such as Herbalism and Skinning are great while leveling, as you can level them up as you move from zone to zone and get some free gold by selling the gathered materials!

Why is the end-game build being suggested at a levelling build? They're totally separate entities and can't be treated as the same.

These are better levelling talents (with order) pre-62 as Lightning Shield is extremely strong for that period, before respeccing to this once Water Shield is learned. Totemic Mastery is optional, but having to kite enemies back into 20yd range instead of 30yd range is just an annoyance that is worth the spent point. You can obviously put points into Elemental instead of Resto post-62 instead as I'm unsure what is superior here.

Unless you're spending a significant amount of your levelling time in a group, there's no reason to pick up Improved Weapon Totems. They do nothing for the Shaman and are entirely group-centric talents. Similarly, Enhancing Totems is very weak while levelling and can be substituted early on in the Lightning Shield phase of levelling (and learned at level 54/55 respectively), but early investment in Enhancing is needed once Water Shield is learned just to progress to Flurry tier.

Of course if you are levelling largely in a group, then you do want to pick up Totem improvements - but I don't think a "general" levelling guide on a central site like WoWhead should make assumptions of such, as solo levelling with a smattering of grouping is by far the most practiced method.

What is the ideal weapon imbue to be using for different weapon types?

What should I use with a 2H?
What should I use with a 1h + shield?
What should I use when dual-wielding?

None of the guides say.

I've looked through a lot of these levelling guides and there are things they never say.

For Dual wielding, fast, slow or a mixture of weapons?

What is the best stat to have for Enhancement Shamans, Strength or Agility, maybe even some Intellect?

Should you get the best weapons you can and replace them often?

What are the best things to look for in weapons?

Should you respec when you get dual wield and lose the points in shields?

Most guides skip the first 58 levels, like yours does. Even though it takes longer than 58-70.

Does anyone have any further tips for becoming powerful while leveling? Someone gave me an iron counterweight (sorry I don't know how to properly link items on here) that gives 20 haste. Pop that on a 2-hander and suddenly my level 8 was able to mow down enemies of any relevant level in 2-4 swings. The guide mentions that gear makes a difference for enhancement in particular, but there aren't any details or niche items like this that really only apply while leveling.

Hey guys, I have a question about shaman weapon choise. Is it possible to use a quick dagger as a temporary weapon until you get something really good?I have recently reached level 70, and now I'm earning honor through bgs and want to take a High Warlord's Cleaver as my main hand, until I get enough gold to level blacksmithing and get Drakefist hammer for at least my main hand (I'm not sure is it possible to take 2 Drakefist hammers in both hands in TBC Classic), and i just found a good cheap dagger on the AH which costs like 20 gold or so in my server for level 70, which has like almost the same dps like High Warlord's Cleaver and has endurance on it which is good for me because i try to play pvp :) So is it possible to take it as an offhand while imbuing it with a flametongue, will it do any good for me or should I skip daggers as a shaman completely? I've read the post about weapon speed for enh shamans and that they need slow weapons in order to stormstrike deal more damage, but I have 2 2.6 green axes, and its kinda shame for me to use them =)

I'm a bit confused, since this guide mentions dual wielding and even specs into it....what's the purpose to keep shield spec? since you won't be using shields, wouldn't those 5 points would be better placed in Ancestral Knowledge to boost your mana a little bit?
