in winterspring they drop it off hifhborns, not very rare but used bros lvl 60 hunter to farm money for my mount and got a bunch after a few hours

sorrow hill, just outside of chillwind camp in western plaguelands is a good spot to get these. i got 5 in about an hour one evening. they drop from 50-52 skeletal flayers and slavering ghouls. they are not elite.

I've found them on some of the Highborne ghosts in western Azshara. They're in the upper 40's.

The earliest possible mob is zanzil undeads at STV. They are only level 44 and sometimes they drop it.

This is ICHOR of undeath... not to be confused with essence of undeath... i need only 1 for a priest quest in azhara... i've been killing lingering highbornes for hours and not one has dropped. is this a really rare drop or am i killing the wrong thing? in the quest it says they will drop off of lingering highbornes...

I managed to get 5 while grinding some highborn lichlings and appairitions in Shadowsong Shrine in Azshara. It's a nice place right across from the Alliance FP and creatures are fairly easy to kill.

Granted, the drop rate on this isn't very high, but a Lvl 44+ could get it with a bit of grinding.

Only used on 1 item per profession, and with the exception of the rarely used breathing potion or the enchantment, they are items you'd rarely make more than one of.

Every time I run Scholo or Strath (I don't raid much), I find that people have stopped looting these altogether.

I'm kinda surprised these aren't used in greater shadow protection potions (as opposed to difficult to make shadow oil). They use the elemental equivalents for fire, frost, and nature protection potions!

I really hope Blizzard makes something usefull out of these in an upcoming patch.

Although i can't blame Blizzard for putting so many undead mobs in the game. Not only are they a traditional evil type monster, but Arthas kicked a lotta ass. It's no wonder these are a dime a dozen.

Why would he vendor this? Perhaps you didn't read his post, you'd be wise to do so.

You should also consider that his post is 10 months old, missed that didn't ya.

And, let us address the differences of price on each server. Having currently checked their worth on the Gnomeregan server, these aren't worth crap, and mine are going straight to the vender as well.

Q: Why?

A: The cheapest single Ichor of Undeath in AH is 20s, there are multiple listings in front of that single Ichor that are stacks that cost significantly less (that means they aren't currently worth 20s each, nor anywhere near that)

So while they may be 1g each on your server, they aren't worth jack on mine. Watch your flames, use your brain, thanks much.

I found a few Ichor of undeath's near chillwind camp in the western plaguelands. They dropped from slavery ghouls, but not very often.

Easter plaguelands too. Started UDs drop is frequently.
