Are you sure, i did the Blue pearl quest and waited a moment, then talked to him again, and he had nothign except for the power stone and buzzard wing quest :(

Just Did the quest for the Blue Pearls and returned them to the Badlands and got the Schematic....Just like what is mentioned above. I am a lvl 41 Troll Mage Engineering at 240 or so. You have to talk to him again after you complete the quest to get it.....

These flash bombs are very useful for the panther boss in Zul'Gurub - just give every raid member a bomb. Every 10 seconds one of the players should throw one bomb to fear those panthers. Just make out, who throws the next bomb, because it has a high cooldown...

So I completed this at lvl33. I dropped enchanting and picked up engineering just before doing the quest, and only had skill level 15 in engineering when I turned the pearl diving quest in. After you complete the quest, a new quest appears from Rigglefuz (sp?)....flash bomb recipe. I accepted the flash bomb quest, then immediately completed it, and got the recipe.

Sweet. 3550 xp for pearl diving and a great recipe!

I received this quest/drop following the Blue Pearls quest, and my specialties are Skinning/Herbalism.

Perhaps it's because I'm a gnome, and all gnomes have Engineering Specialization as a Racial Passive.

Just a reminder: this works on Druids who are in form (except moonkin form). It really pisses them off. :D

Just tried to get the schematics today for the flash bombs.. It doesnt work anymore. maybe its because im not an engineer. BUt i delivered the 9 pearls and only got a gun and a flashbomb

I did this quest with my Warrior Engineer somewhere in the 40s and received a flash bomb plus...I guess I thought I must have received the recipe. But I couldn't find it and suddenly at level 48 I realized how useful this is!

Hoping against hope, I went back to Rigglefuzz. Sure enough, I must have forgotten to ask for it when I originally did the quest (I'll never forget those elite schmucks in the Vile Reef; aptly named), just assuming I would get it automatically.

Rigglefuzz had it. Gave it to me for free. Of course it requires more Blue Pearls but now I have my Deepdive Helmet. : )

Somehow I don't think the murlocs in the Vile Reef are going to be that much of a problem any more...

So don't forget, just finishing the quest doesn't give you the recipe. You actually have to ask for it.

Be sure to ask a warlock to cast infinite breath (or something like that) on you. I did it as a warlock, and it helps alot.

Also, first swim near the top of the water, scout out where they are, and go down to get them, repeat. Otherwise, it gets confusing inside the reefs; not to mention they're always in those nooks and crannies.

Gatherer mod helps ALOT.
Use it while you're doing the quest, and then later, come back and farm these for the bomb. It's Really easy when you know exactly where they are.

Normally I wouldn't post an insipid "This dropped off an XXX for me" post, but in this case it is useful information.

I have been farming Gnomeregan and this schematic dropped off either a Dark Iron Agent or one of the mechanical mobs. Unfortunately, I was autolooting so fast that I didn't pay attention at the time.

The drop rate is probably 0.01% and maybe it just never dropped for someone running WOW reader before so it isn't listed.
