It no longer drops from Keli'dan the Breaker as it did in Beta. You must do the above quest. You should fly to the Smith, as a lot of the mobs in the area reset at low health.

At the end of this quest chain you have to kill the Fel Reaver patrolling around HFC. The easiest way to do this is to hang out near the group of elite mages just outside Thrallmar. When the Fel Reaver passes by, pull him and kite him past/through the mages. I used a soulstone and let myself die to make sure the mages picked him up. They wasted him, and once I used my SS I completed the quest for the key.

The quest drops off Smith Gorlunk in the Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley. Loc 67,37 . hope this helps m8.

Easily done solo with flying mount, just watch out for the shadowmoon eye of kilrog.

Hellfire Citadel
The Shattered Halls
Only one person in your group needs the key to open the gate in front of Shattered Halls. Also, a level 70 rogue with 350 lockpicking can pick the gate. The quest to make the key starts in Shadowmoon Valley by killing Smith Gorlunk who is located on the Ata'mal Terrace of the Black Temple. He will drop a mold which starts the quest line to obtain the key.

Heroic Mode
To put any of the Hellfire Citadel instances in Heroic Mode, you must be Revered with Honor Hold if you are Alliance, or Thrallmar if you are Horde. The key can be purchased from the appropriate town's quartermaster.

BTW, I don't see Smith Gorlunk in Thott yet. Guess you gotta find him on your own. ^.^ GL.

And to the ChildrenOfTheDamned and iamdvs, http://www.wowwiki.com/Hellfire_Citadel gives you the bosses, strats, and drops of all the bosses.

Smith Gorlunk is @ 67 36 in Shadowmoon
When you come to the Black Temple you can go up to either the right or left...take the left side...
Alot of mobs...and alternating patrols of 70th elite Shadowsworn Drakonid and Shadowsworn Eye of Kilrogg (the eyes are killed with a single SW:Death or MB)

Once you have fought your way to the top of the ramp you will see a deadend ahead or a path up to the right.

Take the right...

Immediately after you take the right there is a small path to the left...

head up to the left and there is a small hut...

where you find Smith Gorlunk (he can be pulled from the bank just below the hut without agroing any other guards.

The keys you can get from rep is to Unlock the Heroic modes for the Hellfire Citadel dungeon, this key is to get into The Shattered halls itself.

And easily done with a flying mount at 70, drop in on the hill, pull him back, kill him, and fly off.

Here is the complete listing of what to do for the key....

In order to get the key to Shattered Halls do the following:

Kill a lvl 69 Blacksmith orc called "Smith Gorlunk" outside The Black Temple 67,36
Loot the item "Primed Key Mold" from him and then finish the questline:
*Entry into the Citadel (Completes in Thrallmar for Horde Nazgrel)
*Grand Master Rohok (Completes in Thrallmar for Horde .... Rohok <Grand Master Blacksmith>)
*Rohok's Request (4 Fel Iron Bar, 2 Arcane Dust, 4 Mote of Fire)
*Hotter then Hell (Kill the Fel Reaver in Hellfire peninsula .... return to Rohok <Grand Master Blacksmith>)
Quest reward: Shattred Halls Key!

There's a Fel Reaver that walks through Felspark Ravine and will sometimes pass in front of Thrallmar. Once you find it, wait until it gets close enough to the caravan in front of Thrallmar (the one with the elite mages and the infernals raining down). Once it's near there just pull the Fel Reaver over to the mages and they'll do the work for you.

Blizz changed the mechanism on guard aggro a while back to prevent this sort of kiting. Now, guards only attack if they are attacked first. That mean they have to take damage from the reaver, not just be nearby. He aggros them when he does his AoE stomp attack. If he doesn't do that in range of the mages, they will stand there and watch you get spanked. If he does get it off, you're home free.

Click the key mold & you've got your Shattered Halls key!

I added this comment to the Fel Reaver page, but thought it would be useful for the alliance players wanting to get the SH key but finding it tedious (as I did) to find a PUG to do it.

I was successful, as alliance, to get the Thrallmar caravan to kill him (they killed me too, but that's ok). I read somewhere that this trick only works for horde, but it's not true.

I lost the tap, but it turns out that you don't need to have the mob tapped or get kill credit to make the SH key. All you need is to be in the presence of any fel reaver corpse, no matter how it dies.

It also turns out that the action to heat the key mold for the key quests isn't interrupted on damage. So even as alliance, you can create the mold in the presence of the Thrallmar guards so long as you can stay alive for the few seconds it takes to perform the action.

When pulling the Fel Reaver, I suggest investing a few gold into swiftness potions from the AH. He'll still catch you once you tap him, but it takes a little longer giving you more time to get to the caravan before you become dazed for something. (Obviously this doesn't apply to classes like rogue with a speed boosting skill)

No one has mentioned this before, but I tried kiting the Fel Reaver to the Thrallmar mages and it worked fine...

Until they killed him, and infernals spawned and the impact of the infernals (seems like 30 of them total) kept me perma-stunned at 4 seconds each for nearly a minute.

This would have been fine, except the Fel Reaver corpse vanished about 15-20 seconds after it died. I've been timing the infernals while waiting for the next Reaver and it seems to occur on the :03 and :07 of every ten minute brackets.

Confirmed. Pulled to caravan. Died of course, but they were still fighting by the time i got back to my corpse. I was able to use the key mold without aggroing the mages.

Didn't die when I defeated the Fel Reaver w/ the Bloodmages help, of-coarse...GL Lvl 70 Hunter w/ a lvl 70 pet...

How to get Clé des Salles brisées:

Defeat Gorlunk le forgeron and loot Moule à clé préparé to begin the quest/return: L'entrée dans la citadelle (Ally) / L'entrée dans la citadelle (Horde).
Start / Return: Le grand maître Dumphry (Ally) - Le grand maître Rohok (Horde).
Complete: La demande de Dumphry (Ally) - La demande de Rohok (Horde). Needs: 4x Barre de gangrefer, 4x Granule de feu & 2x Poussière des arcanes.
Complete: Plus chaud que l'enfer (Ally) - Plus chaud que l'enfer (Horde). Needs use Moule à clé inachevé on dead corpse of Saccageur gangrené. Rewards: Clé des Salles brisées.

Accepting the Quest
To accept the quest needed to obtain the Shattered Halls Key you will first need to travel to Shadowmoon Valley in the South-Eastern section of Outland. You will want to travel to (67,36), right in front of Black Temple, and kill an NPC named Smith Gorlunk who is standing next to a small hut there. Once he is dead, loot him and you will receive an item called the Primed Key Mold. Right-click on the mold in your bags to recieve the quest called Entry Into the Citadel. When you have accepted the quest, travel back to Hellfire Peninsula and talk to Force Commander Danath Trollbane in Honor Hold. He will be standing at (57,67) inside the upper level of the hold. When you give the mold to Commander Danath, he will give you a quest called Grand Master Dumphry and tell you to go talk to Dumphry who is standing just outside a tower, North-West of Honor Hold, at (51,60). Dumphry has a request called Dumphry's Request (grins sheepishly).

Doing the Quest
For this quest you will need to get:
-Fel Iron Bar x 4 - These can be obtained from someone with the Mining profession or purchased from an Auction House.
-Arcane Dust x 2 - These can be obtained from someone with the Enchanting Profession or from an Auction House.
-Mote of Fire x 4 - These can be obtained from someone with the Mining profession of purchased from an Auction House.

Once you have these items in your inventory (Don't forget to pick them up from your Mailbox if you purchase them from the Auction House), head back to Dumphry and turn in the quest. He will then give you a quest called Hotter than Hell and want you to destroy a Fel Reaver in Hellfire Peninsula. Fel Reavers can be found patrolling around the Northern side of Hellfire Penninsula, going from Hellfire Citadel West to the Northwest corner of the zone. Once you have destroyed a Fel Reaver, use the Unfired Key Mold that is provided in your bags on the Fel Reaver. At level 80, solo'ing the Fel Reavers should be easy. Very easy.

Getting the Key
After defeating the Fel Reaver, return to Dumphry once more, at (51,60), and he will give you the Shattered Halls Key, allowing you access to The Shattered Halls anytime you want.

Ok, all of the comments here no longer apply apparently I just the Shattered Key by completing Hotter Than Hell Plus chaud que l'enfer from Dumfrey.

No having to go anywhere else.
