100% skin rate from ancient core hounds. since they are lvl62 they require 310 skinning which means finkles skinner. i have 17 core leathers at the moment gathering dust in the bank :/

How does one accomplish raising their skinning skill to 310? I know about having gloves enchanted with +5 to skinning skill but what else am I missing? My lvl 60 hunter on Silverhand is maxed in both skinning/Leatherworking and choose Dragonscale Leatherworking. I have been reading up on all the recipes and stuff I have yet to get.... and want to get one day... LOL I did some searching on my own to find out how to get skinning skill up but have not been able to find anything on it... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Added since Beta, so I wonder if this would be another use for Core leather and If they are going to fix it that pally's and other classes can do skinning above 305.

Core Leather is skinned from Core Hounds in Molten Core!

They require Finkles Skinner to skin 310 skinning(if u can get people in raid to loot the hounds)

Core Leather is NOT BOP and can be freely traded or sold.

Mainly used for core armor kits and various epic items made by gaining faction.

Core Armor kits are very useful and add plus 5 defense to 4 slots on your tank!

GL on finding a good guild to raid MC with..its a fun place :)

Skinning magmadar requires 315 skinning.
Get the enchant in addition to the dagger.

Don't know if this has been posted before,
and don't care.. thottbot comments is ruined by classes whining over nerfs and claiming items

I have Finkles Skinning Dagger, and my skinning is 310, did realise you had to have 315 for the boss.

Need to change my enchant from Riding Skill to Skinning on my gloves now - DOH.

I got 7 of these during my first trip to MC. Now I dont need them but I do need an epic mount. How much will each sell for? Someone mentioned 47g up above but is this true?

Check your server AH. But I would say you can drain other players' life saving with these things, but just to be conservative, start charging from 50g.

Is this the highest leather in WoW? , i mean ther is light leather, thick leather, heavy leather, rugged leather and so on, is this the last leather u can skinn? or is it more valibule leathers in like bwl or naxx

Hey just wondering, since BC has come out, how feasible is it to solo Ancient Core Hounds? As a lvl 70 destrolock? Actually, what is the minimum level that one could solo these things at? Trying tog et core leather for my 28-slot soulbag

yea... each corehound mob in MC drops them.. and u need 315 skinning so very few people have access to get these core's. Also there are only 4-5 corehounds per MC.

You only need 310 skinning for these bloakes.

305 = 61 mobs
310 = 62 mobs
315 = Bosses and 63 mobs

You can get a +10 skinning dagger from The Beast in UBRS, and a skinning sword in Zul'Gurub from Tiger boss.

Then, you can get +5 skinning enchant on gloves, it's really cheap.
