You can apply this enchant on other people's gear the same way you enchant gear with the enchanting profession (e.g. thru trade window). With a well geared rogue the Burning Essence is soloable in BRD so it's much easier to get than making runs with a full party and clearing all the mobs in the way.

This arcanum is still the best of its kind in the game. The Honor Hold/Thrallmar FR enchants can only be applied to the head, and TBC Flame Armor Kits only provide +8 FR. My character tanks Leotheras every week; my Infernoweave Leggings boast this enchant because it is still the best.

U cant Stealth run this u need to kill the Key holder and dont think its do able solo he got two guards

Doing the BRD part is doable solo for a rogue, but its rather tough, much easier with a 2nd rogue. Just need to distract the guards then fight the keyholder in the golem room and poof when guards come back. With a 2nd rogue you get a 2nd distract which will give you more time, but very doable.

Most people dont know it works but it CAN be used in trade window like an enchant, I tried it today.

Enchanted on persons cap and got 150g for it... Everything was free for me but I"m beginning to feel that I should charge more... On my server (Terenas):

Black Diamond: currently 50g in AH
Libram of Resilience: currently ~75g in the AH

Crystal Spires: my time (well... easy really)
Dark Coffer Shabadoo: my time (and not really easy solo for a blue rogue)

Damn Elf Fee: 30g

Total: 155g + my time >.<

Here is what you need to get...

Lesser Arcanum of Resilience(bop) - Adds +20 Fire Resist to a Head or Leg slot. Can hold more than 1 at a time, but not stackable. Can be used to enchant someone else's item or your own, like an enchanter would.

Requires:

1 Black Diamond - Can mine from Dark Iron spots, drop from random BRD mobs, or from the AH around 20-40g each.

4 Crystal Spire - Get 10 Yellow & 10 Blue Power Crystals (around Ungoro or from AH cheap) & go to the East Pylon in Ungoro.

1 Libram of Resilience - Get from AH or from people selling in chat. I've seen these offered between 40g & 180g. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 75 at most. 150g is way too much.

1 Burning Essence - This has nothing to do with the Heart of the Mountain quest where you need the Relic Coffer Keys.

This is a bop item from the Dark Coffer room in BRD. You get into the Coffer room, kill everyone in the room or be sneaky(see below), read the painting, & it tells you where the guy you need to kill is which can be in 1 of 6 spawn points usually not too far away. Kill the guy that spawns, loot the bop temporary key & unlock the Vault back in the Coffer room. About 35% of the time you'll get a Burning Essence. Sometimes you might get 2 if you're lucky.

Stealthed ways of opening the painting:

It's all about the mob closest to the painting. If you aggro him you aggro the whole room. If he's level 52 you can stand far enough away from him where you don't aggro him & open the painting. If you have a Rogue with imp sap, sap the guy closest to the painting. If you're able to you can kill him & Vanish. Sometimes he's 52, 53, or 54, & sometimes he's elite which makes it very hard.

About the 6 spawn points, they are all soloable, but 2 of them are very difficult. Ofgut in the Garrison spawns near General Angerforge which makes for a 6 elite mob fight. The Grim Guzzler one that appears in the bar room is far away & pretty hard cause if you don't clear the surrounding mobs the whole room aggros. It's quicker & best to just reset instance & get a better spawn point. Those are the 2 that I'd recommend resetting. The other spawn points should be easy.

On the way there:

Btw as a Rogue going through the Arena is not the best way. Without opening the Shadowforge gate stealth to the bridge & jump out the window to the right when you can't go any further. Go passed Incendius. Then make your way up the Hall of Crafting, go out the door & the Coffer room is the room next to it. It's much faster & there are no dogs to worry about.

Rogue soloing the other 4 spawn points:

1. The spawn point inside the coffer room can be done if you position yourself in the back of the room where you open the coffer box. Then use Distract on the keyholder to seperate him from the group. He's an easy 55 Elite caster.

2. The Arena spawn is easy, kill him + 2 guards(or just him & Vanish, he spawns far enough way from the spectators to not aggro others.

3. The Hall of Crafting spawn is him + 2 guards again, just make sure you don't start till the fire elemental goes away(or kill it first).

4. The domicile spawn is same thing, just be careful of the dog when entering. They are in a little hideaway room by the corner.

Then once you have all the mats, take them to Flame Crest in Burning Steppes & talk to Mathredis Firestar, & you can give him the mats + another 30g for the Arcanum.(##RESPBREAK##)908##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##

People forget that soloing is a relative thing reliant on skill and gear, both of which are subjective. Contrary to above, a Rogue does not "need" Imp Sap to solo farm these arcanums.

Does anyone know if this quest is still repeatable after patch 1.10? Is there a limit on how many times I can get Lesser Arcanum of Resilience?

Ok, I know that this is repeatable. And I know that the item (the Lesser Arcanum) is a one-time use.

What I want to know is can you have more than one Lesser Arcanum in your inventory at one time?

Because I have one now and would like to know if I can get another before I use the first one. I'm still waiting to get my Emberweave Leggings or GS Helm to put the first one on, but I just thought in the mean time I could nab another Arcanum and just wait.

Anyone know if this is possible?

I have extra mats for this plus the burning essence (already have +20 FR to legs & helm).

I am thinking of using my Lesser Arcanum of Resilience to enchant someone else's leg or helm.

What i'm interested in is your opinion on how much to charge for this.

It won't be for a friend or guildmate, will just advertise in trade channel (i'm broke).

I'm thinking it has cost me 155g-255g on the high end for time, effort & materials on this.

Also consider a +15 FR enchant to 'back' cost approximately 290g in materials on the server I play on.

Do you think it's reasonable to charge 300g-400g to use my Arcanum for someone else?

I've charged as much as 420g for mine.

Haven't done this in awhile so not sure what current prices are anymore but before AQ you could easily get over 300g for doing that.

I would do what last person said except charge more for the effort.

Also don't forget the 30g that the NPC charges.

But to save me time and if I wasn't using the ZG enchants, I would easily give 300g for such an awesome Fire Resistance enchant.

I wish I could get 300 for it. All depends on the server. The demand on my server just isn't as high. So ya, start at a high price & if you get too many people laughing at you, try lowering your price.

im a warrior and i did this all in 2 weeks, buying libram, buying a black diamond, running to brd vaults, killin the big bosses, and finally got 20fire res to my dark iron helm :)

but stuff doin that again!, jus find a rouge who has stealthed it, and i managed to buy it for 205g for my legs :)

rather grind money and rare items an jus buy it, but not everyday someone offeres 20fire res, so be lucky if you dont wanna do it all

someone told me in my guild that you can combine three of the lesser arcanums to make a greater arcanum which is +60FR. were the just playin around? i thought it might be real because why else would it say "Lessser" Arcanum of Resiliance

if noone believe this is soloable by a DRUID! check the movie ok video.google.com search for "druid+destruction" he just solo the damned "Burnin essence" :D it's really nice though :P

Black diamonds go for 30s on Suramar, 80s for pristine. This libram goes for 30g on the AH.

I was going BRD and got 2xBurning Essence. *Hurray!*

Iv checked thottbot what it was for.
Then i saw the mats required for this enchant.
And checked it up on AH
2xBlack Diamond - 20s
2xLibram of Resilience - under 2g.
and those crystals for Crystal Spire was pretty cheap.

So i got this enchant for myself for 33g.

Hmm. I just bought "Libram of Resiliance" and "Libram of Focus" for a gold each. I thought they would teach me something immediately. From the comments, despite the fact that I didn't know what they were, I seem to have made a deal. :) I guess I'll have to hold onto these.

Truly easy solo for my 70 rogue. The dark keeper I had to kill for the key required me to do the arena trial event, but it was again easy, and I got 2 burning essence. Got the libram for 2g, and the black diamond for 2s.
Turning in my crystals...im gonna put this on the inferno hardened legging I'm getting. Then I go tank Onyxia :D
