Misdirection in 3.3

Alright, so in the next patch Misdirection is going to be changed. Instead of transferring threat from three hunter shots, a hunter shot will trigger a four-second timer on the misdirection. All the threat generated from the abilities used within those four seconds will be transferred to the tank (usual misdirection target). Multiple Misdirections will also be able to stack on one target.
So, which technique is better for applying misdirection with multiple hunters in the raid, stacking misdirection on the tank off the bat before a pull; or should there be a progression of applying misdirection on the tank like the current method?

There really isn't anything to discuss...
You use it in the beginning and only when you really have to because it will mess up your DPS rotation and less your DPS.

Yeah, Volley MD will be much more useful on multiple mobs, i.e. whelps and trash in raids. Do you guys know if there is more threat generated within those for seconds than with the former three shot misdirect? I probably should have added that in my first post.

IMO the change will smooth that out because you can actually open with your normal rotation rather than having to lead with Aimed Shot.

instead of 3 individual volley arrows counting towards MD.. its now as many arrows i fits into 4 seconds.. music to my ears..
Did this in the new dungeons today. Was such a beautiful sight it almost brought a tear to my eye. MD Volley to my hearts contend NEVER ONCE pulled threat on a volley pack.

Can't wait for this upgrade.
Currently: Thirty points over hit-cap and MD still misses occasionally. Despite the first three shots supposedly transferred to the tank and the tank adding his own threat, hunter can capture threat by the next Explosive-Shot after MD. Hope improved FD hits, but everyone in the raid is salty either way, because Omen ratted you out.
Have high hopes for this upgrade.

I think it used to work well with volley before 3.3 as well. On two occasions I went to Stratholme to farm Argent Dawn rep. There are many places where an AoE spell can cover an area with 5-7 mobs in it. So I started with MD (to pet) and then Volley (canceled it after the first set of hits). None of the mobs aggro'd me. Even though it must have been 5-10 hits at least. Was it because those mobs are "programmed" in a way that they only can be pulled together? I dont know... But this method worked for me 50+ times without a problem, so it cant be only luck I guess. And if you watch the project lore videos, you'll see that in one episode (in think in Naxx 10, spider quarter - AoE trash) Bowbins (I hope I spelled his name correctly) talks about Volley and MD working well together. I guess this may be because of latency or the pre 3.3 version had a minimum time for which MD could not be turned off. Lets say the first 7 hits of Volley land in 0.3 sec but the MD effect cannot be canceled sooner than 0.5 sec from your first aggro generating move. So latency... maybe thats it. Feel free to discuss! :D
p.s.: I used MD+Volley combo in lvl80 instances as well, but I didnt want to bring up those examples as the presence of a tank makes analyizing this issue much more difficult.
