BRD is enormous, but it has a sufficiently differentiated environment that once you've been through it a few times, you'll have no trouble getting lost. Contrast that with Sunken Temple, Razorfen Kraul, Wailing Caverns, and, to a lesser extent, Uldaman, which are twisty, non-linear, multi-leveled, and have little variation in scenery. I still get lost in those, even though they're much smaller.

I find Sunken Temple worse. It's so easy for the team to get lost in there unless they stick together.
A classic, the healer and two casters are having a mana break after a miniboss, the tank and melee impatiently moves towards the next group of mobs to wait there. They run into a patrol and yells for help. The healer and casters run to aid them, but even with the dots on the minimap they have no idea whether the two team mates went up some stairs, down some other stairs or around some hidden corner. Even when they die it might take a minute or two to find their corpses for a ress..
The mantra for Sunken Temple is ALWAYS run as a group, pay attention to each other and make sure everyone is there. If you get left behind, stay where you are and let your mates go back and find you, don't try to guess which direction they went.
LMAO YEAH! I did ST last week with only 1 other guy, he was helping me finish it. I lost him so many times and it got so frustrating. I would take my eyes off him for like 3 seconds and that was it, I totally lost him. Take my eyes off him for even one second and I lose him! It was lame. I hated that place.
My favorite dungeon by a whole mile is SFK. I just love that place. I guess I just like werewolves and dungeons and it's somewhat like Underworld, one of my favorite movies. They should replace the humans in there with vampires. :)

It is true, BRD is a large and probably one of the most confusing maps.
Sunken Temple being the worst.
Sunken temple and BRD bad? Not at all, I know them all outta my head. Wailing Caverns, however... after doing it god knows how many times, I still get lost EVERY time...
That's funny because I understand the layout of WC after looking at the map on here once. There are only 3 ways: left, straight, and right. Right being where Lord Serpentis is, and left being where Lord Cobrahn is, and straight up ahead being where the sleeper is (have to go past Lady Anacondra first). It's pretty simple and I had the place figured out by my third visit.
If you want to go either right or left, you should jump in the river at the bottom first.
I've been to ST 3 or 4 times now and I still don't know what's going on in there. I hate that place. I even like Gnomeregan better than that place...

I have always found BRD pretty straigh forward. LBRS, however, Sheesh - i can tell you how many times i have had to hearth out of there.
Total Nightmare.
edited: ment LBRS.
- funny note, when I started playing (endish of Vanillia) i always saw people LFG UBRS, and I thought it was Lingo for "Uber" as in Uber Players wanting to get together and tear crap up!
Ahhh - those were truly fun days....to be 10th level and stupid again.

I know it back to front.
I've spent
A LOT
of time in there
Same.
It's either the worst instance ever, or your favorite.
It's my favorite.
