Are you ashamed of playing World of Warcraft?

My boss and I both play WoW and we've been subtlety adding raiding terms into our corporate speak, for example "We need to keep a line of sight open into that department..". Even got the CEO to use LoS in a meeting with management.
If you've got people around you who are into X then it's okay to talk about X. If you're the only one who likes X and everyone else is into Y you can end up feeling isolated. But don't be embarrassed, just think of it like Fight Club. :D

Probably because it's immediately associated with D&D, and the first place people go with that is childish and nerdy. Well, I'm not ashamed of playing and will tell people I have been playing this very fun game for years. I guess I'll just stay childish and nerdy.

That's an 80's stereotype.
Gaming even RPG is no longer seen as childish and nerdy, Nerd has been cool for a long time, hence the popularity of shows like Big Bang Theory, The IT Crowd, The perpetual superhero movies, games, etc.
WoW has a stigma due to the apparent addictiveness, stories of people with no self control blaming WoW because they flunked their exams.
It doesn't matter that these guys would flunk exams without WoW.
Wow gets the blame and a bad rap. (Same as GTA does when some psycho decides to shoot a bunch of people and just happens to have one of the most popular video games ever in his game collection)
OT:-
Am I ashamed, hell no, in fact I try to get people I like (very few people) to try WoW.
I don't actually talk to many people who don't have experience with the game and I've never had a problem with anyone because of me playing WoW.

You should have used the
oblivion
horde icon rather than the
Swedish
Stormwind lion...
I had faith in you!

I'm not ashamed to play, I even wear my Horde t-shirt and hoodie to work sometimes (though both my superior and my boss play, too) and thus on the bus, too.
I'm not very prone to talk about it in public though - however, some of my friends have no problem doing so, in a very loud voice.

I'm sure many people complained about that graphic bug, you can't see parts of the invitation, it's just black.

That's awesome. Did any of the invitees recognize it as the WoW quest window, and if so how was the response?

We actually had two sets. My brothers, my friends, his friends and his cousins all got these, and then we sent boring normal ones to everyone else. Everyone who got them knew what they were, and one of them had to run to stop his teenage child from instagramming it without blocking any of our information- lol. One of my bridesmaids is using it to farm karma on Reddit. In general, everyone loved them.
