Use 2 mice at once?

Ok, I don't even know if this is possible, so bear with me.
Here's the current facts...
My video card can handle dual monitors so I want to connect a second one
I have 2 mice, both USB
If I plug in both mice they will both attempt to control the same mouse pointer
Here's the question...
Is there any way to have 2 mouse pointers, each controlled separately by each mouse?
Here's the reasoning...
I may use this feature to dual-box, to control a web page on the other monitor, or (probably the most frequent issue) my wife wants to use the internet while I'm in the middle of a quest, BG, dungeon, etc. My pc can handle watching a DVD or streaming video with 1 WoW up so I doubt there will be any issues in that respect. I just want to know if there is some setting or program that can let the mice act independently.
Thank you for your input whether it's proof for or against the concept.
PS. just realized that if this works then I'd probably need to hook up a 2nd keyboard as well. I have a spare sitting around but I guess that depends on whether the mouse thing is possible also.

Technically it should be possible but you'd need some pretty weird software to do it... Such a thing might exist already but I definitely don't know of one and won't bother searching for it right now. Good luck with your project if you find something.

I did not know that two
MICE
can be USB compatible, makes you wonder what mice are doing...
I believe you are trying to say Mike or mic or microphone. When i saw your forum title i was wondering wtf what would i be using two mice at once for?....
...
One mouse.
Many mice.
We are speaking of the
computer
mouse. Or rather, computer
mice
. This is not rodents, but a tool to move a cursor on the monitor you are watching.
*edit*
here's
even a picture of one! Gasp!
That's actually my first proper mouse. Wore three of that model out before I started with a new model
