Suggestion(Question: Different Languages

Hey Dudes,

I have a question: Is it possible to make several other languages than english available for the user? Especially french, spanish & german would be great for the european gamers.

So they don't have to translate the tooltips, names of npc's, quest-names & text's or items into their languages. Sometimes even a translation fails :/

A small button/link with "View <insert language here> version of this item" would be great.

I do not have any problems understanding english but many of my guild mate's don't use wowhead because they don't understand anything in the very helpful comments. We have a german "wowhead"-thingy but it is spammend over with thousand of total sutpid comments - they aren't really helpfull.

But I don't have an idea to handle mutli-language comments .. maybe a "Highlight comments in you language" or "show comments in your language first" feature .. but so you'll maybe miss good informations in english comments :/

I wouldn't say a localization project completely out of the question is just that it's a lot of work and I'm sure they already have their hands full already.

I suppose they could do it the way Allakhazam handles it... the info and comments are in English, but the name is also visible in other languages below the info. That's a fair solution, as the majority still plays in English or at least understands it well enough to read some comments.

In my opinion it's an excellent idea to add the names of quests and NPCs/mobs in other languages. I'm playing on a localized client myself and it's somewhat tedious to find out the name of a quest I'm currently trying to complete. Comments and descriptions should stay English though.
Installing the English language pack is no option for me as it adds ~2GB to the installation and my guild mates wouldn't know which spell/item/npc/quest I'm talking about if i posted them in English.

Not to be a threadamancer, but it's better to revive this one than create a new thread ;)

I'd really like to have at least localized item/quest names shown on the pages or enabled for searches, the only reason I still use Allakhazam is to find out the German name of an item or npc I only know the English one of, or vice versa.

The localized names of all the stuff in the game are available via data mining, aren't they? (Assuming you have access to that localized version.)
