(continent)
"Azeroth is the name of the southern most continent in the Eastern Kingdoms. In early stages of World of Warcraft, Azeroth was used as the name of the entire eastern continent of the world, now called the Eastern Kingdoms. Azeroth is also the world in wich world of warcraft takes place (save Outland of course)"
There's your answer. You guys are both right :)

Azeroth is the world. It's the combination of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.
Outland is not part of Azeroth it's a different world.
This is correct. My friend keeps thinking Azeroth is the bottom left of the eastern kingdoms. D:
Azeroth is both, actually.
