Martin1989, let me start by saying I'm sorry. I don't say that word often so, when I do, I mean it. Now, you understand my point about posting, and how you format your post. It is a growing trend of degrading everyone by forming horrid post. Your post wasn't that bad, but just try to at least put the effort you did into your second, into the first. First impressions are a lasting one.
Anyway, I disagree with you thinking it is a good idea. I do so as a peer, not anything else. If you build it, they will come. In this case what is being built, is a shortcut. While it would be good for some, it would and could be bad for others. This could leverage guilds to sell gear rather than everyone having to work for it. Not that selling teir gear doesn't happen, it is just that it isn't as popular that it would be if such a thing was implimented.
Oops, you misspelled implement and tier. You also placed a lot of extranneous commas and messed up your grammar in the following sentence:
degrading everyone by forming horrid post.
I guess you're just a pretentious jack ass.

Ok this has happend to me a few times where ive missed a raid start time or been disconected during a raid because of a bad internet connection. It has ment that for a week ive been unable to join the raid as my place has been filled and have to pug which is sometimes awefull or i get locked out after about 2 bosses being downed meaning that im screwed for the rest of the wek with nothing more to do untill the reset.
I have been frustrated by this a few times as the pugs generally fail and im missing out on experiance in raids and loot. Now i know removing raid resets or moking them daily both have problems (daily resets meens too little time to complete somewhere like naxx in and no resets will make farming for gear too easy)
This is a little bit vague. Do you mean your guild's raids?
If you miss your raid time, that's 100% your fault. I know that's kinda brutal, and yes, accidents happen, but if you let someone slide on it and wait for them, or let someone slide on it and join a boss later after 9 or 24manning the first one... well, that opens the door for anybody to complain after missing the start time later. Raid leaders deal with enough annoyance and drama as it is.
Also, what kind of dc's are we talking about here?
If you suffer from a great deal of latency/dc issues, you really need to seek a way to alleviate those before seriously raiding... however, if you just sometimes dc and in the 2 minutes you're offline your guild replaces you, that's crap, and your guild is jerks.
However i feel i have a solution. make it so you can bypass lockout by being able to select the ability to pass on loot etc so that you can join a raid to help some guildies out and get some more experiance. It will be better than getting DC halfway through spider then missing your chance for the week. id like to know what you all think.
I don't know what lockout you speak of. If you mean within your guild's raid, as in you can't rejoin it because they've replaced you, that's the guilds issue, not the game... if you're saved to a raid halfway through, and you dc and get replaced, it makes sense that you're done for it that week. That person who replaced you needs gear and experience too - what you propose would deny them that, in exchange for bringing you back into the raid, where you've been dc'ing and thus unreliable.
I'm defending the ID system for instances/raids because I love it. I think its done quite well. I don't know what 'lockout' you're talking about, it sounds like a guild policy to me, and if either your guild is jerks as described above or you have frequent trouble making the raid time - in either case, its on you to either try harder, fix your dc issues, or find a new guild. Hooray, 2 cents from someone who had nothing to say about anybody else's grammar! Hehehe :)
