Also, now that I remember planning on saying this...

on the cartrip up, and started

on the way home, but only a quarter of the way through that since I had a Dragon Quest game I bought with gift money I was playing till my DS spat and died on me.
Sanderson is a
bloody
genius at writing Mat.
I have not laughed this hard at reading these books ever. Ever.
QFT. I'm almost done with Towers of Midnight, and Mat is even funnier in that one than the Gathering Storm.
However, Talmanes's impression of Mat is a crowning moment of funny. "I'm still going to gamble! Bloody, bloody gambling and drinking! Has anyone seen my bloody drink? Anyone want to gamble for it?"
Dude. I laughed SO hard when I read that. I couldn't stop.
That and Mat's super duper complex plan after the Hinderstrap incident. Oh gosh I was dying.
"Does this mean I can go back to my poor aged aunt?"

"Fine, but next time, I get to be the Warder!"
That was my favorite. Mat is just so hilarious. He was always my favorite, but he (and everyone with him) became even funnier in the Sanderson books.

Maybe it's my odd outlook on life...

'kay. I actually almost got kicked out of a dance once for that (despite me not doing that. It was my friends with me, and I had no idea they were doing it until they came to yell at us).

Yep, and in Towers of Midnight, when they're in Camelyn.
"Time to send a letter to her Royal bloody Highness Queen Elayne the prim."
"Are you going to swear at her too?"
"Of course I am! How else is she going to know its from me?"
And then the whole letter itself.
"I'm
angry
perturbed (That means angry)"
His letter is hilarious. I also like Birgitte's reaction to Mat being in Caemlyn ("She's interrogating him?" "That's what she told me." "That means they're having drinks.")

I suck with it too. Tried to make a pic of the unnamed child and failed horribly.
I wanted to look distorted and uper-hard to see, but I failed miserably at that. It also wasn't frightening at all...

I'm just editing symbols and stuff into pictures. I might add the Operator symbol into my next picture. DUN DUN DUN.

What bugs me with Mat's half literacy is that, while hilarious, it kind of doesn't make sense given that he's got all these memories of lords of the past. Not that I'm in any position to complain.
Also, finished Furies of Calderon the other night.

Also, I'm sort of refining the idea for my doomsday/near-apocalyptic RP idea, so I might put it up tonight or tomorrow depending on how I'm feeling in a bit.

Well, now that I think about it,
Hidden in the Trees/Eccentrically Bored
already did the Slender Man/Archangel thing, so I might do the Serpent and the Stick for the Plague Doctor instead.
E: Ald, excellent. The Codex Alera series is amazing. While not as good as Dresden, imo, they're still amazing because Butcher is AMAZING.
