I don't understand how that would even work, if the heartless is the absence of heart and darkness, correct me and wrong, wouldn't that cancel out your heart when it's inside you or eat it itself?
Or am I reading into this too deeply.

Sora took his own Heart, which also had Kairi's in it, to free her mind and make her whole: Because of that, he transformed into a Heartless, but Kairi had absorbed his Heart as well, so when she 'saved' the Heartless Sora, she restored him to his human form....but that left the Heartless sealed inside him, and it routinely breaks out, giving him a feral rage against things.
So far, they haven't really built on what it does to Sora with that Thing inside him...hopefully something for 3DS or KH3.
It's a disney game...Where worlds are destroyed, people die horribly and painfully(especially those who fell to the Unversed) and King Mickey is an awesome Bad Ass.
