I think for KH3 we'll end up fighting Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed all under the command of Xehanort.
Didn't Xehonort actually have no control over the unversed? That was how I understood it. The only reason he had power over them was because Vanitas listened to him, and they listened to Vanitas.
And can't ANYONE control the heartless if they are strong enough, until getting close to the realm of darkness, where they become uncontrollable?
Xehanort created Vanitas, and the Unversed were birthed from within him; I'm sure it's possible for him to cut out the middle man at this point and just create his own under his command since he knows what to do. And anyone can control the modified Heartless, but the original ones are pretty feral..but it is Xehanort here who can do anything!

I'm sort of waiting for them to repeat the Maleficent moment and have it revealed the creatures of darkness are just playing him.
And the pure forms seemed to e under Maleficent's control throughout most of the games.

You BETTER not shoehorn Maleficent KH2 style.
Seriously, Kingdom Hearts rocketed her up my list of Disney characters. I hated how shoved to the side she got in KH2, considering she can actually be blamed for a lot. Corrupting Riku and leading to his emo-style for example.

No, Xehanort is going to show up to 'discuss' with her about what she was doing with the information she learned from him, to figure out what has been happening in the 12/13 years that's he's been gone; also plan on having a group of Nobodies do that to explain about the major points of OXIII to him.
Of course, all things considered, having a blast from the past show up to interrogate her, probably won't be too much fun.
