WHAT!
If you would subscribe to their channel like a true Runner, you would know that MH is currently in its second season. Introduction to Entry #26 were the first season, ending with the SOS which depicted Alex and Amy being attacked.
Turns out it was released on DVD with sh*tloads of special features.

It started good and now it's just heaving barf in it's death throes.
I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise, but why do you think this?

Because its true?
That's not helpful.
I'm asking a serious question...I just want to know why. (It's not like Harry Potter is the end all).

I, personally, began to dislike it when Harry became very badass, but his whining scaled with it. I stopped reading when I had to consciously try and empathize with him.
And Dumbledore died. That bugged me to a lesser degree.

Something about her shyness for me. I have weird tastes.
Are you absolutely sure you're not my long lost brother? Seriously.

I hated the 5th book because of his whining. And then she tries to explain it by saying Voldy was trying to possess him or whatever. Why is it that you have to empathize with the main character to enjoy a book though? (Poor Dumblydore...)
As they progressed Harry just turned into a whiny @#$%^ and whined and whined and whined. Then they killed everyone, hell, they even killed one of the twins. Just unnecessary.
Whining explained above. Hated it so much. I hate the whining...
Eh...I disagree with you. But that's fine with me.

I saw that coming so didn't even read number five.
As for empathizing I admit that in many books it is not necessary, but Harry was the sort of character that had earned sympathy by being the underdog. I felt a certain emotional stance watching him fight characters he was obviously outclassed by and cheered him on because I wanted the kid to win. But by the end of the fourth I was just emotionally detached, everything was
for
Harry. People died all around him protecting him but he was always somehow too weak to do so for them. Dumbledore was just the last straw on that camels back sad to say.

Curiously, did you ever finish the series?
Not to mention all the word of god, and the word of gay. Dumbeldore is gay suddenly, that is the @#$%tiest most pointless retcon of the whole series.
Um...I'm not quite sure what you mean. Dumbledore is gay...?

I'd suggest reading the section about Albus and Grindelwald; during my second read through, I picked up on it, and the entire scene itself, with what happened to Dumbledore's little sister, just makes it that more heart breaking.
And while the movie was nice....since Hannah Abbott vanished during the second movie, can understand having Neville have a crush on Luna, even though, as JKR says: Q: Did Neville ever find love?
Of course. ... To make him extra cool he marries the woman who becomes, eventually, the new landlady at The Leaky Cauldron, which I think would make him very cool among the students, that he lives above the pub. He marries Hannah Abbott.
Other
words of god
.

She retconned
outside the book
that Dumbeldore is gay. I'm not kidding.
After quickly reading about it, I'm not so sure it was a retcon... Adams explains it nicely I believe.
And I do believe that A LOT is explained in the final book. Almost too much in fact.
Anyways, I liked the series (probably a little too much). We can agree to disagree.
