Nope, in fact he (Zexion) escaped after fighting Riku but was done in by the Repliriku for power (at Axel's prompting but lets not be caught in technicalities).

Well they needed a, at least technically, female character in the org and Marluxia didn't count though not for lack of trying.
But at least she broke the mold for the insofar female characters from that game.
