Macro question?

i was just messing around with my UI the other day and decided that some of the icons for my spells are boring so i started making macros with custon icons to use for my casts
the question is...is using a macro to cast say fireball going to slow down the actual casting of that spell versus using just the straight up icon that blizzard provides? like will there be a lag in the information being sent to cast that spell bc its in macro form?
