I tried the scroll links above, but all of them came up with the error:
"our Battle.net account does not have any games that can be upgraded with this game key. Either you have no games that can be upgraded with this key, or you have already upgraded them."

i havnt played in over 6 months, and havnt used a scroll of resurrection in that time

It requires that you've NEVER used a scroll. In the life of the account. Also, people, please don't link your battle.net email address for Scrolls. Realm name and Toon name are sufficient.
