Levelling as a BM hunter when to put points into Marksmanship?

Currently I am a level 47(?) Hunter all (38) points spent in the BM tree up to 3 points in Serpent Swiftness.
And am wondering should I continue going down the BM tree? or should I respec and so I can put some points into Marksmanship so I can get Go for the Throat(?) to increase my pets Focus?

Also I am using a Gorilla as a pet ATM, grabbing a group of 4-5 mobs, then volleying/multi-shotting them to death, how effective is this tactic in the later levels of lets say 50? 60? 70? Compared to getting a pure DPS pet like a Cat or Raptor or even those exotic pets like a Devilsaur?
Considering my current rotation with my Gorilla pet how effective can he hold aggro without many points into BM tree? Would it be more efficient if I went more down the Marksmanship tree to get Barrage?

Basically which is better for questing though by using AoE to kill the mobs majority of the time at level 48?

Don't stop putting points into BM until you get to at least 50 or 51. THEN get lethal shots, careful aim/mortal shots, and go for the throat. You want your pet (assuming its a gorilla) to be able to hold aggro so it should be enhanced as much as it can be if you want to be an efficient AoE'r.
