I have a rogue I'd like to level and make my main by the time Wotlk comes out. My question is should I bother to level right now, or wait for 2.3 to come out?
Sure, leveling will go faster if you wait, but if you start now, you'll be further along when 2.3 comes out. If you don't have other characters that you want to concentrate on, I'd start leveling the rogue. Otherwise, concentrate on the other characters until 2.3, then start leveling the rogue.

Go for leveling now. You really don't have a rush to level at this point if you are going to level for WotLK so, just take your time.

I don't know how fast you level ofcourse, but i actually dont believe you cant get from level 1 to level 40 before WotLK comes out. Plus, is it even a certainty when WotLK is released? it might as well be Christmas 2008.

I'm taking a rather easy approach to this, and making sure a) my character is level 20+, and b) simply running them out of rested as they gain it. atm, I don't really see a point in the character remaining rest capped, so why not go ahead and burn thru that. Sure, once 2.3 hits I'll be leveling a lot harder on those alts, but hey... might as well get somewhere in the mean time. Lord knows it may be a bit.
