....Or are Shaman pigeon holed into being some kind of spellcaster towards end game? I was looking at the gear available to Shaman (the sets) and T3 is specifically for healing, no alternative. The Arena gear for Enhance Shaman is pitiful compared to some random drops from dungeons but is the best Enhance set til you get the T5 (at least from what I saw). All the dungeon sets are geared towards Shaman as casters unless you want to steal the Hunter sets (and if you have a hunter in your party, it goes to them by default. if not the other members may not understand that you need it for the AP increase and will force you to roll for it.) but the set bonus doesn't help us. Even the pvp sets are more geared towards Shaman as casters. -.- Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Tier 3? As in, the Naxx Tier 3? Yeah, thats a slight problem. Tier 3 came out pre-TBC, when, if you had a button that let you cast a healing spell, you were a healer. The gear reflected that.
Tier 4 (Kara gear) presents 3 options. Healer, caster, and melee. If you're looking for Tier 4, I'd suggest looking
here.
This has all of the Tier 4 sets.
The rest of the Tiered sets also offer the same option.
