What qualifies as heroic ready in terms HP, defense rating (540 I know but should it be higher?), dodge, parry, and block? See my char page in sig

Wow 35% dodge I'm not even close...
Getting def capped should be fairly easy once I hit revered with Wyrmast Accord. I can then buy the chest and boots which should make me crit immune.
But dodge...how can I reach that? I guess I might have to regem to get there...any advice?

He actually said dodge + parry - meaning add the two together to get > 35% which you are more or less on and if you get your 535 you'll be about right.
A couple of quests from normal instances options to push you over the 535 defense:
Pauldrons of Reconnaissance
from Halls of Stone (note you'll want to hold onto your current one most likely as well).
and
Silver-Plated Battlechest
- from normal UP
Although you could also enchant some of your gear that won't be upgraded to quickly (shield for example) for defense to possibly kick you over that mark.

((You also get a minimum of 10.4% miss: 5% base + 5.4% from gear))
Is that correct (the note on wowarmory for defense marks the value to be missed as being before diminishing returns)?
To quote from tankspot -
http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f63/40003-diminishing-returns-avoidance.html:
Q What's my chance to be missed at 540 defense?
A 9.29% unless you're a Night Elf, in which case it's 11.29%. Example 3, below, breaks down the math for 540 defense (689 defense rating from gear)
If I'm understanding that correctly then that 5.4 ends up being less after diminishing returns applies.
Curious - when people quote what their avoidance is - do they normally give it before diminishing returns?
It looks like warcrafter.net does the diminished returns calculated avoidance for you: e.g.
http://saurfang-us.warcrafter.net/Gameldar
(compared to the wowarmory in my sig) - although it chucks Block into the avoidance category and doesn't take into account the Night Elf racial bonus.

Fairly simple here:
21k is more than good enough for the easier heroics.
25k is recommended for the harder heroics.
Avoidance
Avoidance comes with gear, and cannot be relied on in the same way as stamina can, but is important for all tanks:
For you (Warrior); roughly:
Easy Heroics:
35% dodge + parry
15% block
((You also get a minimum of 10.4% miss: 5% base + 5.4% from gear))
Harder Heroics
more than 40% dodge + parry
more than 15% block
Along with these stats recommended from Feiron, I would also recommend getting just a little bit of expertise, mainly because once you start getting more avoidance, unless your healer can handle 4 mobs on you at once, your going to have some threat problems every once in a while.

I am sure of those numbers, the only things to consider are:
Diminishing Returns
Speaks for itself. And going from 10.4% --> 9.24% (1.16% difference) seems about right.
...
Yeah - does look right to me as well. I hadn't noticed that bit on the character sheet/armoury that listed your miss % before ... and it took me by surprise that it didn't match up with what I had read about the miss % .
