I think I'm on the other side of that. I have the mana pool and the crit, but my SP is low. Though I also just turned 80 yesterday.

Replace all gear that gives bonus to spirit (neck, second ring, and second trinket). Then take your prismatic SP gem and replace it with a prismatic int gem (would go great on the owl since you could keep that well into heroic raids). Run the upper level normals until you do and then you'll be set.
While you're doing that, get the argent crusade tabard so you can get the epic meta helm and a decent caster ring faster (and some good pants at honored if I remember correctly).
