As we all know, Azeroth is a planet. A planet is round and should have both a north pole and a south pole. Why, then, is it that there's only snow on the northern parts (I don't count Dun Morogh) of Azeroth? Why does it seem like the equator is at the very bottom of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms? (It seems that way, since Stranglethorn Vale is there, and there are no snowy areas). Why is there no snow in the lower parts of Azeroth?

Because Tanaris, Un'Goro, Stranglethorn and Silithus are all at the 'equator' area. We don't know if there's another continent like Northrend at the bottom of the World. Think about it; there isn't alot of Snow in South America(beyond the high mountains), Africa or Australia is there?

But Africa and Australia are both far closer to the equator than the northern continents are. And frankly, I don't see a lot of pictures from the southern parts of Argentina and Chile, but I could imagine it's pretty cold there.

Why are we basing Azeroth's Eco system thingy, off of Earths?
For all we know it gets colder the further north you go and thats that.....
I'm not really basing Azeroth's eco system off of Earth's, but since it IS a planet, it should be colder on both the northern and southern parts of the planet - unless, of course, there is some random heat source where the south pole supposedly should be.

We got The Firelands down below.......
That's another plane of existence though Tauman. Only reason they appear on Azeroth was because of Deathwing draggin up Deepholme, weakening the Barrier between the realms.
