The holiday cards.

Aye, even with the whole Algalon thing... I don't see the Titans as returning to wipe us out, I mean, that's not the point of them after all. They might be distressed to see what happened to their world though, especially if they arrive after Cataclysm, and see the damage the Earth Warder does to the planet.
They want order, I can see them destroying everything to rebuild it in the new of order.
Perhaps once they've actually returned to Azeroth, order could already have been established by the mortal races. Sure, they would probably be fighting amongst themselves, but war between the mortal races wouldn't be as perilous if the Legion/Scourge/etc. had already been destroyed and the Old Gods had all been dealt with. If it would be a threat to the planet itself, I could see them destroying it. But war between the mortal races isn't likely to destroy the world without those ultra-powerful influences.
And even still... why would the Titans go around establishing order on chaotic planets if they didn't allow those planets to grow and eventually become self-sustained in keeping order?
The reset buttons seem to be something like a fail-safe for newly ordered planets. Like, if one were to get too out of hand during it's infancy, it could be reset and reordered to try again from a clean slate.

The reset buttons seem to be something like a fail-safe for newly ordered planets. Like, if one were to get too out of hand during it's infancy, it could be reset and reordered to try again from a clean slate.Or in the case of Azeroth; a pair of Legion Wars, a pair of Old Gods almost breaking free, and a massive army of Undead poised to strike at the living.
So, I just read the
Special: Beginnings and Ends
, and I like it... a lot heh. Showed the wrap up of the 25 main issues, then introduced the main people for the upcoming graphic novels about Horde and Alliance. And, I really liked the pages for Varian, Med'an and Garona/Meryl.
Varian's page has him and Anduin out hunting, then ends with the king in his full armour, seated on the throne.
To begin the cycle of violence over again?
But I see other things as well.
I see men carving out a semblance of peace, and caring for the next generation, so that they should know it as well.
Even as their nature might divide them.
Garona and Meryl's page shows the two of them running through a darkened desert, and I love the captions for the page:
Security isn't all that some crave.
For even within the most uncertain circumstances, life thrives.
And there are those to whom exile does not feel like punishment.
But freedom from a life spent ruled by others.
And Med'an's is about training and studying with his Uncle, learning his skills and abilites. Captions from their page:
Still others find their contentment in knowledge.
But to work alone has no satisfaction.
Because for some, happiness is not freedom, but a sense of belonging.
And a sense of accomplishment.

so, I got a question, those punch cards that drop in gnomergan, can drop to horde toons?
cuz I'd love to have the puch card that says "jaina and thrall sitting on a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G." as a memento, since gnomer is gonna get reworked on cataclysm and the card will most likely get lost forerver.
on a related note Merry christmas everyone =)
to my horde bro's Skreeran and Taurenmoo: Happy winterveil my fellow horde brothers, may blood and thunder herald the endurance and survival of the horde.
and last but not least, I saw the "Special edition" comic of algalon introducing the new "cast" of the new series of comics that will debut soon.
:D they added a FEMALE ORC SHAMAN, ok I am happy now ^_^ at last a new important/notable orc female that ISN'T garona will take the spotlight.
and she's a shaman to boot. AWESOME!.
is about time, because the first 14 issues of the comic where TERRIBLY alliance biased (their depiction of Warsong gulch is really unfair) and on top of that they make noble horde characters like thrall to spit random stuff that is way out of character.
I'm glad that for a change a new (so far quite impresive horde cast) has joined the ranks.
will gladly and eagerly await the horde editions to come out at last.
FEMALE ORC SHAMAN PROTAGONIST! WHOHOOOOOOO

Yeah... but their not actual 'comics' there going to be graphic novels... so probably only one book ever few months, collecting however many issues of the original storylines for the comics that were suppose to come out.
As for the punch card; I think they can Rank.

Adams, I have a question concerning Beginnings and Ends. Does it have the great art works from issues 1-15, or does it have the sloppy and ugly drawings from 16-25?
Varian and Anduin looks great. Garona and Meryl are perfect. Med'an and Maraad look like they always do. Valeera and Broll are well drawn. Algalon looks amazing. And the new characters are well done; none of the giant orc shoulders on the new hunter, the female orc is hot heh, the gnome assassin looks just the right amount of cool and cute, the Tauren is well done, and the Magi Warrior son and father are well penned.
The War scenes from the first few pages took my breath away while Algalon was letting us know back story.

Ugh, the comics. :/
I honestly despise them for what they did to Aegwynn, killing her off in a poorly written and ridiculously drawn comic? Not making accurate characterisations...The list goes on.

you forgot the most important part dude.
THEY KILLED HER BEFORE SHE EVEN MADE HER DEBUT IN THE GAME >.<
so far Med'an has only show up on the comics and I hope he remains on the comics and never show up on the game.
and yhea out of the 10 new protagonists (5 alliance and 5 horde) one of 2 females is the orc shaman, and she's both hot and cool.
she's even selfless, as she shows up in a village desolated by a long drought wich she ends by summoning a water totem and calling forth rain to help the villagers.
as algalon put it "when you fight for the well being of others, the rewards that victory brings are much sweeter"
not to be biased or something like that, but out of the new cast, I pretty much like the horde cast more :P
out of the 5 horde characters, for now I dislike only 1.(the forsaken warlock)
out of the 5 alliance characters, for now I like only 2 (the night elf and the priest)
that being said they only showed up like 2 panels per character, that's not enough to draw proper conclutions, is better to wait till the actual books are out to better know what's going on.

I never really liked her, my only regret in that last 25 issue was that Garona and Med'an didnt die too, but Aegwynn is a nice start. I hated her ever since I found out she doomed Stormwind and possibly all of Azeroth for her own gain. Besides, all she would ever be was a shadow of Jaina./sigh It wasn't her fault Sargeras took over her womb; she honestly thought she killed the Avatar. She was a royal biotch yes.... but she also redeemed Medivh by giving up her power to do so, so that helps to negate the dark actions that happened. As for the assistant thing... she was an Advisor to Jaina.
To Rank and Patty; Med'an is probably going to be in game once Cata comes, the New Council is going to be possibly a new faction, so it would make sense to have their Guardian in game as well. I just hope Meryl and Garona show up as well.

I hope you can flag "At War" With them, like the Cenarion Circle. I WNAT TO RAID ME'DAN!
Bah, good riddence too Aegwynn.Well, she foiled Sargeras and managed to live for 800 or so years. Jaina admires her, obviously - Because Aegwynn is an inspirational female mage. She will always be iconic to me, because I liked the character.
