She was a Watcher originally.

That makes Odyn more of a jerk to do it to a co-worker.
Isn't it against titan orders?
(His motive on not buffing dragons iirc)
Edit: (even more hypocritical as he has his own thunder dragons)

After Ra-den vanished and Tyr was gone, Odyn was the highest ranking Watcher; plus it was a member of his group so he could 'technically' do what he wanted since he 'knew' best.

This is why I consider Helya more of a tragic monster than a straight up villain. She is what Odyn made her to be, she didn't choose to become what she is today, which is why her constant vilification across the expansion is something of a sore point for me. The way the vrykul speak about her, you'd think she's wow's equivalent of Satan. A paragon of God who intentionally and deliberately rebelled and became a monster of her own free volition.

Fourth Order Hall quest line completed; Druid this time. Um...I dunno, what is there to say about examining the Nightmare, fighting Archimonde along side Malorne, and then having Malorne bless the group; oh wait, I know what to say....BORING! No seriously, the last thing was just go to a dream version of Hyjal, run around freeing critters from Nightmare tendril traps, healing injured druids, reviving dead ones, and fighting if you want to with a randomly chosen champion, then go beat up the Warlords model of Archimonde alongside Malorne and all you had to do was stand in the glowing spot to win.But on the plus side, at least it wasn't someone getting sucked into a demon portal.

Also the new lore reveals...../sssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Quest before Nighthold opens:
While tracking the master's physical body proved challenging, we were able to locate it in the Nighthold of Suramar. Our intelligence reports that Gul'dan is making final preparations to the Nightwell in order to use its power to usher the soul of Sargeras into Illidan's body.
The only way to stop that from happening is to put Illidan's own immortal soul back.
Take the Soul Prism of the Illidari and venture to Helheim. Defeat Helya and use the prism on Illidan's soul! Return it to Light's Heart.
Possible Gul'dan kill quest:
lidan's soul rests safely within Light's Heart. Take this vessel and deliver it to Khadgar with the following instructions:
When Gul'dan attempts to tear the sky asunder and bring the dark titan into our world, call forth the power of this vessel and release Illidan's soul into his body.
Go now, <name>. We do not have much time. The dark ritual will begin soon.Excuse me while I scream incoherently at the sky for a while.
Though, with the first spoiler...was not expecting what the reveal revealed about a certain thing that has been up in the air for years.

Seems like a pretty big step down from Medivh.

Indeed it is.

Seems like a pretty big step down from Medivh.
No kidding.
From "Über Guardian of Tirisfal Infused with all the arcane power in azeroth" to "Random schmuck who merely absorbed the last 1% of power from the skull of a single warlock".
The gap seems pretty big.

Not to mention supreme megalomaniac who kidnapped civilians from an innocent civiliation and force-fed them demon blood to make them into shock troops.
Until they address his actions regarding the mag'har, and the blood furnace, I refuse to acknowledge him as anything other than a villain. They are trying SO HARD to paint him as this ruthless hero who was simply doing "What needs to be done" to fight the legion. But he crossed the line the moment he dragged innocent civilians into the blood furnace to turn them into brainwashed monsters.

Apparently that was what was needed to be done; *sarcasm* after all, if Illidan didn't do it, obviously the Legion would */sarcasm*
This whole forced Illidan thing is the only really bleak downside to the lore this expansion...well that and we didn't learn more about N'Zoth with the whole Xavius thing at the end of the druid campaign and instead got a stupid fight between Malorne and Draenor Archimonde. Oh well, I'm doing the Monk final few quests tonight so hopefully that will be more interesting then the druid ending.

I still don't by the whole 'Illidan is savior' thing, guys. I think X'era is full of it. My personal theory is that she is allied with the Void Lords and is using Illidan, along with us.
Il'gynoth says, "It's surface shines bright, masking shadows beneath." Light's Heart, anyone?

There were some theories that she's actually Kil'jaeden or some other evil entity posing as a Naaru. That's clearly not the case, given that the tears of elune (who created the naaru in the first place) unlocks Light's Heart, so whatever her intentions may be, she's a real naaru.
But yes, I'm hoping that this whole forced hero crap is just Xe'ra having ulterior motives of her own, and not being aligned with the rest of the forces of light.
But that's just wishful thinking. We're giving blizzard WAY too much credit there.

Huh, according to
his
tweet, Sargeras is not actually a demon. He's a titan with demonic features, but still a titan first and foremost.
Does this mean he's mortal? That if we take him down outside the nether, he's not gonna reform like all the other demons we've killed? Afraisiabi only said "Kill him and find out".
Its a weird answer, because in the reformed timeline following the events of War of the Ancients, Sargeras WAS taken down, his physical body was destroyed, because he was already halfway through the portal when they closed it, causing it to blow up his body, but his soul and consciousness are still around.

To be fair, the souls of the other titans persisted after their death.
If that's the case, then how does one kill a titan?
