On that note, is it weird that Xal'atath refers to it as 'Yogg-Saron's' nightmare in Val'sharah?
I also believe that Xal'atath is a part of C'Thun. It refers to both N'Zoth and Yogg-Saron by name, and since Y'Shaarj is dead, he's the only contender.

And the Shadow Priest artifact seems to imply that N'zoth consumed or absorbed what was left of the Nightmare, using it to break his prison.
Think it's more likely that It reabsorbed the power, since it was implied that the Nightmare was originally It's plan in the first place.

Regarding the new information on the Ashbringer's hidden appearance.
The Death Knights storming Light's Hope is addressed, and, apparently, Maxwell Tyrosus thinks that they should let bygones be bygones, seeing as he and the Highlord visit Acherus for a friendly chat with the Four Horsemen.
And the Knights explicitly say that the Highlord is no longer their enemy.

Deathlord and Highlord, best bros forever.
But my God that 3D skull in the sword looks stupid.
On a related topic, I kind of wish they kept some of Whitemane's iconic design with her Horseman status. Even the hat. Something like Lady Blaumeux rather than generic female death knight. Seems a shame.

Is Xavius still enough of a demon that his soul would return to Nether? Or is this a perma-death for him?
Post by
Adamsm
I'd like to say perma-death...but we've seen him 'permanently' die three times now so who knows. If he comes back, it's Legion corruption though.
Also finished the Demon Hunter campaign...gotta say the KJ cameo was kinda meh. But I did like how ecstatic Jace was about being recruited.

That's it? come on bro' give out more details, don't be cheap lol.

Teleport to another Prison world, use the Felhammer to assault it, break some portals but don't fight any major named demons, use the Hammer to blow open the gate to the citadel, then fight against the two Felsworn who have been mocking you the entire time. It's pretty meh to be honest. Again, the best thing was after when Jace was practically squeeing about being recruited.

Yes, THAT Amber, the SI:7 sniper that we've worked with in westfall and the jade forest. Stabbed in the back. DAYUM, way to start a campaign yo'
This expansion IS Game of Thrones. Major and minor characters are dropping like flies.

Now if only they kill Malfurion...

Or Vargoth, Jaina or some council members.

Its funny how the people we want to die the most, are the ones that cling to life the hardest.

Agreed. Though for Vargoth it was more of a kill-tease. I was kinda rotting that he went to the dark side because Kirin'var was nuked by kael'thas, and elves are back.
Though oddly, from the looks of Veressa Windrunner, she seems like in 4.1, ok with blood elves. I suppose the windrunners are quite the order following girls. So I don't really feel like killing her anymore.

Well that's GoT kind of thing. Many people wanted to see Jaime dead, then the story made him a loveable dad.
Now I'm reading about this old god, N´zoth. It looks like the last remaining active old god that is responsible of creating the naga and esmerald nightmare, also implying that the old gods kinda allies with the legion.
Which doesnt make much sense as we know the meaning of the burning crusade is to destroy corruption of the void lords (old gods).
Now, is there any conection with the legion and this old god?
Post by
Stabhorn
There is not. Xavius was trolling the Legion, using it as a stepping stone to unleash his master's Nightmare. The naga are also presumably operating under N'Zoth's indirect orders (through Azshara.). There is no alliance between the Legion and the Old God.

So I just got done watching the Karazhan preview video from Fatboss, and it looks friggen awesome.
But, it seriously baffles me how people can put some much time into a game and not understand the story at all. I mean, these guys have said they've leveled 6 or more characters to 110 between them. How can you do all those quests that many times and not pick up even a scrap of what is going on? What is the mindset behind that?
Post by
morginar
The same mindset that never bothers to read quest text. (sloth/grinding)
considering that debates on the offical story forums could be silenced with quest text from "to catch a banshee" to the end "Ending a new beginning."
Explicitly pointed out in
Whispers from the Dark
.
That Genn have no idea what Sylvanas is up to.
Looking over eu/us battle.net story forum. Seems to have anti sylvanas argument with Genn was only doing it to stop Sylvanas plan. (and totes not vengeance.)
Some raiders do read, many don't. For them this is just nostalgia to old encounters.

Finished the Warrior class hall campaign...yeah that was just random at the end. Also, the world you go to? Same one that you do for the DH's.
