It was pathetic, and the Hour of Twilight cannot be over. The Old Gods wouldn't let everything hang on one dragon, even if he was the most powerful. It has merely been delayed. We could have stopped it again end of the Siege of Orgrimmar. Based on the events of the Blank Scroll, if Garrosh had won, the Old Gods, or at least N'Zoth, would have returned and warred with the Burning Legion.

The Hour of Twilight is over; Blizzard has told us that, and that was why they gave up their powers: To finish it once and for all.

Could you please link that? And if its done once and for all, does that mean that the Old Gods are never going to return. Besides, the Hour of Twilight could have started before Deathwing was corrupted.

Stated in Dawn of the Aspects that the Hour is over. That's why the Aspects were in such a funk at the start of the book, which Kalec snaps them out of it by the end.

But who say's that it's over? The Aspects may think that it's over because Deathwing's dead, but how much do they really know about the Old Gods?
From Wikipedia;
A very ancient prophecy speaks of the Hour of Twilight--Azeroth's final moments of existence. At the last sunset, the Old Gods, sealed away within the depths of the world long ago, will enact their judgment and irrevocably twist the mortal world to reflect their essence. Deathwing's
attempt
at fulfilling the Hour of Twilight was finally stopped when he was vanquished at the Maelstrom

Gah, June can't come sooner =( I really wanna dig into that new book.
Also I suspect that's gonna be around the same time the expansion will be released. Just a hunch.

Sorry Stab, but Blizzard says it's over and Ysera is no longer having the Dreams about it. It's done, finished, finito, completed.

I still don't see how it can possibly be over. Did Ysera have dreams about it during the War of the Ancients?

It's over.
The old gods failed.

It's over.
The old gods failed.
There's still at least four of them on Azeroth.
Deathwing failed.

Two of them are incapacitated, the other two are still sealed away. They no longer have a servant who had the power to end the world. So yes, the Hour of Twilight has been averted and will not come about.

There are still a few old gods out there in azeroth (and maybe other worlds?) but their specific plan of the hour of twilight is over. It failed, and if they ever break away, its gonna be through a new plan.
The Hour of Twilight hinged heavily on Deathwing and his Twilight Dragonflight, as well as the Twilight Hammer cult. All of those are gone.

Twilight Hammer cult
Is still kicking, but in the background. And is small remenants? The green fire warlock quest says this I belive.

As long as there is an Old God, there will be mortals who worship it. So in some way, there will always be some part of the Twilight's Hammer, but it's mostly gone now.

Twilight's Hammer started as an Orc clan just for an FYI; they were still obsessed with bring about the apocalypse, and didn't go into Old God worship till WoW itself.

This time around he's being reimagined along with his entire clan. His description in the WoD website describes him as "A tactically brilliant weaponmaster"
That's no surprise. They did the same thing with Garrosh; everything we saw of him lead us to believe that he's a moron yet they shoehorned him being a tactical genius into a story by having a character say as much because Garrosh had an escape plan.
this time its sorta plausible because we're dealing with an altered timeline. Originally the blackrock clan wasn't a clan of engineers and gadgeteers, much the same way as the bleeding hollow clan which is led by Deadeye didn't had a ritual where they rip out their eyes to see how they die.
I get the feeling a lot of these warlords and orc clans are just the same "in name only". It'll be interesting to see what changes (if any) are present in Grom and the Warsong.

Meh. I dunno if "excited" is the word I'd use for me. It'll be interesting, sure, but not something I'll be looking forward "too much".
This is gonna be the third time in a row that the horde (or a branch of it) is made the main antagonist, so I'm not too excited about the prospect of dealing with Garrosh's antics (again) stopping his evil plans (again) and fighting an evil horde of orcs (again).
I'm not 100% negative about WoD because draenor sure looks fascinating, but there you go =/
